wouldn't polling your altitude to see if you're actually falling be easier than designing perfect maps?
We could choose for a solution like that, but it would add more complexity to the system which is already pretty complex. You'd end up with a situation that might work in many cases but might introduce issues elsewhere, while really the problem here is the layout.

It's a though issue to solve systematically. You're falling into a 'V-shape' which causes physics to think that you're falling. When falling we disable things like jumping and vaulting, so once you're stuck you won't get out. It's up to the level designer to fix these issues, I forwarded the video accordingly.

It happens in planes as well, but it mostly just says killed in action without a cause.

An instance of the vehicle death-link bug seems to be still present in the game, notice how the player just drops dead out of the vehicle for no apparent reason without it taking any damage, and how another player dies to the same shot despite not being in close vicinity.

Lytlb1t is a Dev and has been very active on the posts about cheaters and asking for reports and evidence of cheaters.
It seems he's also now on patrol on Asian servers for any sign of cheaters and bitch slapping them with the biggest banhammer.
I don't have access to that hammer myself (yet, hopefully...), but I'm in close contact with the people who do.
I got video evidence of two of them last night and gave it to the anti-cheat people directly. Going to check the servers again the following days. I also saw many HERO players that seemed like they weren't cheating, so we'll need evidence for every case.

This is the part I like. I remember on the first few days of launch I won back to back games by the skin of my teeth. Dodging mg42 campers and sniping close range while being shaken with an arty.
I legit had to put the game down for a few hours my heart was racing so much.
I made the mistake of playing before going to bed. I didn't sleep well that night.
