As the one responsible for this hilarious bug, i have no idea how this is even possible =D . But i have seen similar issues with animals somehow getting attached to players and vice versa.
They sometimes do that, don't worry, there are boss location markers in several dungeons, keep looking :)

When I die twice in a row and go back to my corpse my armour and bow and shield are gone. Is this how its supposed to be?
