  • Does this mean I can no longer set my bots a loadout which bots can use, but instead they end up using a loadout which I used last time when I played that class (which quite often means they end up having a build bots really can't use that well).

  • Does this mean we are, from now on, stuck with that god ugly console style UI where you can't access anything straight away (which is where mouse excels at) but every single thing is hidden behind crap tons of menus and buttons (which is a design compromise because using mouse on consoles can be akward at the times).

This update is starting to look like a Pain in the Ass Update Quality of Life Downgrade.

No the legacy UI will never go away. We just won't continue adding to it going forward

Can we delete individual heroic deeds or must we delete them all at once? I find particularly the "back to basics" deeds are too difficult and don't feel good to play but, besides that, heroic deeds are my favorite content right now. If I can delete the 3 "back to basics" deeds I have (or maybe keep 1 - I still have the goal to actually beat one lol) but not touch my other deeds, that would be perfect!

Is this the full contents of the update coming on the 15th? This plus the two Kerillian class reworks. Is there anything else? I don't mean to sound ungrateful but I want to temper my expectations. A few of these QOL changes plus nerfed SOTT will go a very long way for me.

You can delete them individually or all at once

So it's a downgrade from the actual mod?

UI Improvements was the inspiration behind our MANAGE CAREER INVENTORY feature, as opposed to Loadout Manager. That mod isn't going anywhere, but it may not be functional when the patch ships (as can happen with any patch)

u/Fatshark_Hedge nice changes so far.

I'm wondering if we are getting microphone indicators to the HUD though to signal which party members are speaking? The lack of which has been a long time requested quality of life feature for co-op.

Not in this update, but it's a feature that's almost 7 years in the asking! We'll keep asking for it :)

Will we ever get cross progression? Or play? It was a thought with the standardized UI I came from Xbox and want to play with my friend but I like pc v2 to much to go back to Xbox and also I want my shark hat for pc.

This is unlikely. Vermintide 2 was developed for the previous console generation and as such had some tweaks to enemy numbers and health values so as not to turn in to a slide show. This does render the console game incompatible with the PC one. It would also require us to be able to consistently sim-ship on all platforms, which is (being honest) one we're not very consistent with.

Cross Save is less impossible, but not likely at this point in time for myriad different reasons.

Great work! Lots of stuff I am using in there! Only Question I have is, does that mean sanctioned mods which are not included (like Dodge Count, Key Pickup Message, etc.) will not be usable? And would you still sanction mods (e.g. UI Tweaks) when they get updated or apply for sanctioned status again?

I don't think there are plans to stop allowing for updated and previously sanctione mods to return to sanctioned status. We are unlikely to sanction a great deal of new mods in the future - as has been seen by the lack of activity in the sanction process for some time.

All this is coming to console next month, too.

With the introduction of the Unified UI, does that mean, as other current sanctioned mods no longer work with future updates, they will also be implemented as well?

Examples: Notice Key Pickup, Chat Block, Bot Improvements - Combat?

Chat block is already a base game feature I believe, bot improvements are something we are likely to never really stop working on (though we may interpret improvements differently to the mod author) and there are some in this update (such as those mentioned in the blog above and others left for the patch notes). Notice Key may still work as intended - I'm not sure if QA have finished testing with all the sanctioned mods on the latest internal build, though.

But I guess to answer your question about the future, we will continue to assess feedback and take note of what people are after from the interface. Since this update moves us to one UI across all platforms, it will certainly make improving the interface more streamlined and less cumbersome (and great for our console audience who can avail from the QOL features that have existed in the sanctioned mod world on PC)

It wasn’t that clear for me, is the loadout manager mod in any capacity integrated? There was a mention about loadout for bots, but it sounded like it isn’t. I don’t want to sound ungrateful, I’m super happy about the changes!

You can adjust other career loadouts, which changes them for bots, but there isn't a load out manager per se where you can save/recall specific loadouts.

Any news about when twitch integration will be back? Is it possible to say if we should expect days, weeks or months of downtime?

Sorry for the lag! In the QOL update next week :)

Heroes, In our upcoming Quality of Life update, you’ll experience some new features and changes to some old ones. Join our Stream on Friday, 11th of March, where Markus, Game Designer on Vermintide 2, will join our CM Aqshy to show you the goods.

When planning this QoL update, implementing features inspired by some of the most used mods was high up on the list. We’ve seen what mods you use the most and recommend to each other, which informed the design process.

Designing these features could not have been possible without the amazing creators behind the original mods. Thank you for your contribution to Warhammer: Vermintide 2 during these four years and years to come! To show our gratitude, we will immortalize all mod creators whose mods have had their essence mainlined in the game’s credits, as well as all mod authors and contributors who have had their mods sanctioned for use on the official realm.

In this Developer Blog, we are going to take a look at so... Read more

Our Backend Engineers are running in to a couple of issues and have asked if you could please:

  1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select ‘DLC’
  4. Take a screenshot of what’s displayed in there, if anything, and upload here

Thank you!
