Citizens of Azeroth,
It is with great joy that I announce Chris Metzen has joined the Warcraft Leadership Team as Creative Advisor. Chris’s focus initially will be on World of Warcraft, then his work will expand to other projects across this growing franchise.
Chris was one of the original team members working on the Warcraft universe back when it began in 1994, and we are so happy to be reuniting him with the world he helped create.

It’s the perfect time of year to gift someone a new adventure in the Dragon Isles. For a limited time*, the purchase of any edition of Dragonflight comes with a bonus 30 Days of Game Time— free.
We’ll put timestamps for topics in the live chat here as soon as we have them.
Today, several members of the WoW Community Council met with World of Warcraft narrative designers Steve Danuser, Anne Stickney, and Terran Gregory.
The discussion covered a wide range of topics related to the development of Dragonflight stories, thoughts about what players want to see more of, and what the narrative design team is focusing on for the near future.
Please feel free to use this thread for any follow-up questions or discussion that you might have.
Thank you!

We have a bug affecting the calendar for Oceanic realms-- the Winter’s Veil holiday is listed to start 24 hours before it will actually start.
We believe that this will result in the holiday kicking off exactly 24 hours after it’s listed on the in-game calendar, and then ending 24 hours later than listed on the in-game calendar.
We apologize for the confusion, and hope you enjoy the Feast of Winter’s Veil nonetheless!
Earlier this week we fixed a bug that had allowed Tailors to circumvent a long cooldown in Tailoring, and quickly ascertained that some players had done so a great deal, so we actioned those players in accordance with how much the exploit was used. Earlier today, after further investigation, we came to understand that some of those we suspended likely didn’t have a deliberate intent to exploit and were simply doing something that appeared to be naturally available. As a result, we’ve now reversed most of these suspensions, so that only the most egregious cases remain penalized.
As a result of this, we’ve heard a lot of feedback about the crafting UI and tooltips therein, and we’re looking into improvements that we can make there in a future patch.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hello everyone.
We recently made some adjustments to the Community Feast that was contributing to lag in the Azure Span slowly over time after each feast as servers were up for a few days. How has your experience in the Azure Span been recently?
These fixes should have improved the performance in the zone since the feast was the main culprit, but we’ll continue to keep a close eye out for any other sources of lag that may appear.
Correct. If you should have received a Mythic+ Keystone and you did not, please speak to Lindormi in Valdrakken to receive one.
This was corrected to 60 in the article. It was missed in edits. Sorry about the confusion.
