Tirpitz is one of the two mightiest battleships that fought in the German Navy during World War II. Operating in Norway from 1942 through 1944, the ship influenced the military situation in the Arctic waters by her mere presence.

In the autumn of 1944, the battleship returned to service and proved herself with excellence in the Battle of Leyte. Later, she participated in the Battle of Iwo Jima and the landing operations on Okinawa. During the course of World War II, West Virginia earned five battle stars.

US BB W. Virginia '44 is a Colorado-class ship that embodies the American battleship West Virginia as of 1944. She received a second life after she was sunk during the attack on Pearl Harbor. In the aftermath of the attack, she was raised from the bottom and seriously upgraded.

During World War II, she covered landing operations in the Solomon Islands, New Guinea, and the Philippines, and she also fought in the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Over the course of the war, the ship earned 13 battle stars.
