I've finished Valhalla last year. Played it for a very long time and yet I could never get a stagger finisher consistently when you parry when enemy has low health.

No matter what I do, Eivor ALWAYS kills the enemy when I try to parry when they're low on health making it virtually impossible to ever get the Eivor's weapon finisher.

I've also found the skill that was adding damage to parry. I disabled it in hope that it was the culprit of the above issue, yet the enemies still only drop to their knee when I parry their attack when they're near death. Is this seriously some sort of a bug which I'm experiencing? I can't do a SINGLE Eivor's weapon finisher because of it :/.

They can be one hit away from dying along with having over a half of their stamina bar, and yet they ALWAYS get stunned not staggered and drop on their knee.

I've seen multiple videos online with people having maxed out Eivor at over 400 of power and yet they can parry an enemy that barely have any health left and do the stagger finishers consistently each time.

I've even upped the enemies health by 20% in the options and made the level scaling to be higher than Eivor all the time, but it didn't help either.

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. That was pretty much my only gripe with the game. There's so many finisher animations in the game and due to the above, I'm pretty sure I haven't seen a good 80% of them, even after playing the game for well over a 100hrs.

Hey everyone!

@budyll sorry to hear you're having difficulties getting a finisher off parries.

Are you talking about the stun-finishers (with the button prompt) or the regular gory finishers that occasionally trigger on low hit point enemies when you use a heavy attack?

What @azullFR mentioned is also correct, that in some cases, especially for weaker enemies, damage on parry will just kill them when they're low, and that never triggers a special finisher animation.

It would certainly help us understand better, if you could provide a short video, showing your gear, as well as the behavior you're encountering.
