[2022] Did not receive the quest 'Tilting the Balance'

Hi, any advice? Not sure why tilting the balance isnt triggering for me. First time thru, I can see everyone at the pig farm with the queen but I can't interact with them. I reloaded an older game, went to the castle, got the girls again, got to where he asks about the 2 prisoners after bringing the girl in again, can see that quest finish.....then nothing....that tilting the balance should pop up at that point correct? Both times I can see the previous quest as completed when I get the queen running away then take her back to the 2 prisoner area. This is driving me nuts. I'm playing the storyline. I even checked the offchurch both times and the door to the king is not passible (as it should be)

If I have to start this game over, it's getting tossed. Too much time played so far. Thanks for any input. I'm on PC version.

Hi @GrampaBob1 I'm sorry to hear that you have not received the quest 'Tilting the Balance'.

You should receive this quest after completing the quests 'Rumors of Ledecestre' and 'The Walls of Templebrough'. The issue with the missing 'Offchurch' key was a known issue that was resolved in a previous update, however this issue occurred during the quest 'Tilting the Balance'.

If you have completed both of these quests then could you please provide a video to demonstrate the issue. In the video we would need to see the following:

  • That you have the latest update (1.6.1) installed. This can be seen on the main menu screen before loading your save.
  • Your quest log screen showing your current available quests.
  • Your completed quests (slowly scrolling from the top to the bottom)
  • Go to the Tamworth Fortress to show that you cannot interact with Sigurd.


I would recommend uploading your video to a video sharing platform such as YouTube, you can then copy the URL link into this thread. 

Can you also ensure that your latest save is uploaded to the cloud. If you are unsure how to do this there is a support article that you can check here.

However, I am sorry that you struggled to find Ivarr and found the quest arc confusing.
