Okay first of all this isn't a new problem I have been reporting this since the first patch update for the game This isn't a new problem this has been ongoing for nearly 2 years now and Ubisoft has never fixed it. Ever since the first patch was added to the game the Berserker gear set has been vanishing it is pointless wasting resources on upgrading a Gear Set and Weapons that keep disappears from your inventory that resets back to default. I have been asking Ubisoft for well over a year now and I just gave up asking for the Berserker Gear set to be removed from the game completely. But now we have the same problem with the Twilight Gear Set the identical problem with the Berserker Gear Set.

I have been saying for years as a Network Engineer who understands servers that Ubisoft continue use unreliable servers. I am not holding back what I feel as a customer I have a statutory right to complain and it is becoming increasingly annoying and it is not just happening to me. you only have to look at your own discussion forums to see that other players have experienced the same problem and it has never been fixed. When I noticed mine had disappeared again for god knows how many times this has happened since The first patch was applied to this game. I tried to save and it came up with Server Error so that got me thinking let’s look at the Gear Add-Ons and sure enough they show as being Installed and Owned but what we look at in the game is Client Side if an add-on for a game is showing as installed Client Side but not installed Server Side on our account. Then this would result in the Berserker Gear Set and Twilight Gear Set missing from our inventory. So when Server Side is reinstated that is why you see the Berserker and Twilight Gear Set being reinstated. But this would also highlights another issue the the server that hosts the game and the server that holds your Ubisoft Account are not talking to each other which is also linked to the store account within a game?

The error that I am seeing is varied every time this happens the best course of action is to restart your console... Turn off, Turn on is always the best solution. it is fine after this. the error messages that I am seeing are as below. When you go to the store your add-ons are not accessible which is where is said this is related yo your account which is linked to the store which holds all your purchases. The fact of the matter is that it is utterly pointless upgrading the Twilight Gear Set because when it disappears from the game it reverts the it back to default.

For me this makes perfect sense and I think it may be the cause of the problem. Today I had the same problem Berserker and Twilight was missing from the inventory and when I checked Add-Ons and they said installed and owned which is correct but they were not installed. When I looked at Add-Ons I got a server error and a lightbulb lit up my brain and I said this is because it has stopped communicating with the server as soon as I removed the game from Quick Resume and restarted the game it was back in the inventory again. So what defiantly keeps happening here is the Server Side stops communicating with the Client Side Server resulting in 2 Add-Ons disappearing from your inventory. However, this cause also be account related as our accounts contain all the purchases, games installed including Add-Ons if this isn’t communicating with the Client Side this could also be another plausible cause of the problem. This is not linked to one specific platform it is apparent on PS, XBOX and PC all 3 platforms of the same game title have experienced the same problem. but this isn't a new problem we have been experiencing this from the very first patch which is when I first reported it to Ubisoft.

I'm sorry to hear that your Berserker set and Twilight set keep resetting after using the Quick Resume feature when playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla. I apologise for any impact that this reset has had on your gaming experience.

As you already know, the dedicated teams have been notified about the Berserker gear resetting when loading into the game, and they are investigating this issue further. You can follow the investigation into this specific issue in our dedicated Megathread.

I'm sorry to hear that the same issue is occuring with the Twilight Set. Would you be able to provide me with some additional information about your experiences with the Twilight set?

  • How did you unlock the Twilight set in-game? Was it a pre-order bonus, or did you acquire it as part of the early adopters scheme?
  • What causes the reset to occur? Does it only happen when using the Quick Resume feature?
  • When the reset occurs, are all of the resources/runes used to upgrade the gear with added back into your inventory? If any resources/runes aren't added to your inventory, please can you provide a video which shows this occurring in-game.


This information will be helpful for further investigation specifically into the Twilight Pack.

Please note that we'd recommend that you avoid using the Quick Resume features of new gen consoles, as this can disrupt the connection to the servers and cause data to be lost. If you are finished playing your game session, we'd recommend you create a manual save and fully quit the game once the saving process has finished.
