I recently downloaded the update patch 1.4.2. Was getting crashes today so i decided to verify my files and did repair. However ubisoft connect is not giving me the option to play. Its rather asking me to do a download again which is over 80GB. Please help

I understand you are not happy that you are required to reinstall the full game while installing the Title Update.
As part of a data restructuring, all players have to reinstall the game files, resulting in overall smaller file size, faster loading screen times & improved performance. So the answer to your question is that you need to download 80GB again.
We apologize if it caused any inconvenience but as I've mentioned above the file sizes decreased and the game performance improved with this reinstall.
