Hello, all. So I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer. I'm mostly a console gamer and most of my experience playing a PC game with a controller has been Final Fantasy XIV. In that game, the hybrid mode is really nice and allows me to use the mouse and keyboard for various functions, including clicking off of the screen while not intruding on the standard controller options that I prefer. However, in Valhalla, when I try hybrid mode, the mouse is not used as a cursor that I can freely take off of the screen, but instead controls the angle of the camera.

One of the reasons I chose Valhalla on PC over my PS4 is because I wanted to have podcasts and music and the like in the background when I'm doing exploring. However, when I can not click off of the game window, I have a lot of difficulty doing that. Is there something I am missing here? I don't have much experience with hybrid moding on PC games.

Hey there @WoodwindsRock, I prefer brass but woodwinds are cool too!

That being said, I should be able to help you out a bit but unfortunately we don't have something that perfectly matches Hybrid Mode in FF14. By default, the game window in Assassin's Creed Valhalla will "capture" your cursor, making it very difficult to select anything outside of the window. What you may need to do is alt-tab (Hold the ALT key, press TAB) to shift another window into focus, and that should let you free your cursor to do what you need outside the game.

If for whatever reason this does not allow you to get your cursor free of the game window, please let me know. I realize it's not a perfect solution, but it's the best thing I can think of to suggest.
