I’m posting this here in case other players experience this issue. Today I got this error code for the first time ever while attempting to start Valhalla, Odyssey, and Origins. I didn’t try other AC titles at the time. My Internet connection is strong and I didn’t have trouble playing other games and apps that required an Internet connection.

The problem seems to have gone away after restarting my XBox Series X. Not sure why, but if anyone else experiences this issue, try restarting your system.

Hey there @TheNorfolkian ! Thanks for alerting us about this error. This looks like a typical connection error that can be solved with basic connectivity troubleshooting.

Since restarting your Xbox helped fix the issue, I wonder if it might have been an issue with your console itself. I'd recommend first doing the basic troubleshooting listed here, as well as port forwarding your Xbox for the Assassin's Creed games. The ports you will need to open are listed here.

There is also a FAQ article that explains what Port Forwarding is and how it works, here, but ultimately, you would need to reach out to your Internet Service Provider for further help port forwarding since it requires access to your router, and each router is unique depending on the model and your ISP.

As you mentioned if any players experience any connectivity related issues we would provide connectivity troubleshooting to try, however we would also check the servers on our side in case there was any outages or maintenances.

I'm pleased restarting your console in this instance resolved the issue for you.
