I've followed all the tips, updates, troubleshooting, checked the specs, verified the files various times, tried to play it using every quality mode possible and nothing helps. The game crashes every single time. Unable to move forward in a game. Any time I'm close to the fire, move too fast, or pull out the torch the game just stops to respond. The only other major crash/glitch I've experienced throughout the game was the boss fight with Fenrir (still unable to move past this fight :') ). Don't know what to do anymore. Can someone help with that?

Hello there @Guggata! Welcome to the forums 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing crashes whilst playing the "Madness of King Charles." Thanks for taking the time to share your report with us.

You mention that you've tried a number of tips and troubleshooting steps. Would you be able to let us know what these are? This will help us to prevent repeating any steps as we look into this further.

If you haven't already, I would recommend trying all of the steps from this basic PC troubleshooting article. In particular, I'd recommend ensuring that all updates have been installed, and that you disable any background applications. Background applications can conflict with the game files, and can potentially cause technical issues such as crashes in-game.

You mention that the crashes tend to occur more frequently when you're close to the fire or pulling out your torch. Have you been able to try lowering your graphics settings or capping your framerate? Some players have shared that these steps have helped to alleviate crashes experienced in similar circumstances to your own, so it's worth giving them a try!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble progressing in "Binding Fate" as well. We have an ongoing Megathread for this quest that I recommend checking out to see if it's the same issue you're experiencing. You can then share your report within this dedicated thread and follow it for future updates.

Thanks! 😊
