I'm wanting to try out this Share Play with my wife so she can try out ACValhalla before she makes a choice on buying it or not.

HOWEVER...

The Ubisoft Connect Overlay is NOT working like it should.

Steps...
I load up ACV.
Load my save and wait for it to fully load in and I'm in control of my character.
Hit Shift+F2 to open the Overlay, it opens.
Alt-Tab to UC to click on the Create Link for the Share Play.
Overlay closes and refuses to re-open and the UC page says there was an error creating the link and to retry.
Sometimes it will even lock up the whole game and I'm forced to ALT+F4 to close it out.

Things I've tried...
ALL background programs that don't need to be running are closed.
Uninstall and Reinstall both ACV & UC.
Tried different versions of the overlay64.dll found here ( https://www.pconlife.com/searchfile/windowsosfile/: (https://pconlife.com/searchfile/windowsosfile) )
Tried running UC as Admin.
Tried running UC as Admin and going into the ACV folder and running the EXE as Admin.
Tried Windowed, Borderless, and Fullscreen (even though this should have zero effect on an overlay, did it anyway)
Have NO other overlays active. (MSI Afterburner and Geforce Experience overlays turned OFF)
UC is the ONLY game launcher active on the system (Steam being the only other I use is not running, at all)
The only programs running are basic windows things, Logitech GHub (needed so I have controls and sound as Mouse, KB, and Headphones are Logitech), UC, & ACV.

I would LOVE to try this Share Play thing... IF THE OVERLAY WORKED!

Hi @Taligaro_F and welcome to the forums!

I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the overlay. Please make sure that the overlay option is enabled in the Ubisoft Connect settings (Enable in-game overlay for supported games under the General tab).

Please also make sure to go through all the remaining steps in our troubleshooting guide here that you haven't done before. Thanks!
