Hi

Problem:

I noticed a strange thing when using the Lynx for a mount, while your animator has done a excellent job with the Lynx, seems no one thought to change the sound effects. Lynx's like all cats, double pounce to run.. so.. boom-boom x2 ..space. boom-boom x2 ...1 2.. 1 2.. and not like horses clip-clop-clip-clop x4... 1 2 3 4.. 1 2 3 4

(not 100% sure on this next bit but.. )
While there *are* cat noises.. sometimes while riding it will make the horse noise.

Suggestion:

I loved riding a Lynx, it has been by far my favorite thing in AC Valhalla. However it's becomes immersion breaking when the Giant Lynx is taken down by a smaller lynx.. or any singular non-mythical animal..

So I thought about it and would like to suggest (for even future games) if we are to have different mount types, this could be like GTA with car mechanics and feel, but giving pros and cons for whatever type of mount we have..

For the Lynx I would like to suggest.. slower swimming speed compared to the horse (my mounts are fully upgraded) as the fur would slow the Lynx down, the Lynx would also get fed up carrying you across water sooner.. but on the flip side; a pro of.. when attacked the Lynx would take down two *in combat alert* animals before running off.. think of packs of wolves.. iirc they travel in packs of 5, 6, and 7.. imagine this: Lynx throws you once attacked and kills the first attacker, then goes after the second (random chance to kill or wound) then retreats. If the Lynx has not been attacked yet.. tapping the (I use a xbox controller on PC) A button x 3 you can wound would be attackers, until they attack then the scenario above plays out.. with human style attackers.. one human (random chance: wound or kill) then Lynx retreats.

This system lets the Devs control the amount of damage done and the whole scene itself. I realize we have the wolf as a ability, but that's it for long range attacks and not close range. It also means we can more easily continue our journey if we were interrupted and didn't want to be.

I hope this suggestion is passed on the relevant Devs 🙂

I am aware it's just supposed to be a skin over the horses.. but the scope of this, I feel is under utilized.. you struck on a great idea, let's use it to its maximum potential!

peace

Hey guys,

Sorry to hear that you experience these sound issues when riding a Lynx, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I have forwarded this information to the team for investigation.

With regards to the attacks from smaller creatures, for clarity would it be possible to share a link to a video example?

Many thanks
