Original Post — Direct link

I renewed my UPlay+ subscription over the weekend, downloaded the game -- it took 2.5 hours to get all 150 GB -- and played probably 10 hours.

Today when I go back to play, instead of saying "Play" like before, Ubisoft Connect says "Download". And "There is not enough space on the hard disk to complete the installation. Please free up some space on the disk, or change the game installation folder and try again." (Yeah, maybe the reason there's no space is that the 150GB game is already taking up space on my disk?)

Under the Download button there's some small text that says "Locate installed game." When I click on that, I'm able to browse to This PC> Local Disk 😄 > Program Files (x86) > Ubisoft, it says "Cannot verify integrity of game files". And it wants to re-download the game.

I was just playing it 2 days ago, and I haven't used my Windows partition for anything else since then.

How can I avoid having to do another 2.5 -hour download for the game I was just playing??

Thanks.

Hello there @kristoffel10 !

Thank you for getting in touch with us, sorry to hear the client appears to have lost track of your game files!

However they should be stored in your Ubisoft Connect Library folder rather than Program Files (x86).

The drive will depending on where you install your games, however for example on my PC the game itself is installed in D:/Ubisoft Connect Library/Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Try selecting that folder when 'locating game files' and let us know if this does the trick!

@kristoffel10 Thanks for the update, I'm pleased to hear that you were able to install the update and start playing the game again.
