[2022] Menu lagging but game works fine

So i recently downloaded Valhalla, but when downloaded it took me 10 second with every option i wanted to select. I thought that maybe my drive was the fault so i installed it on another disk. Same problem. I took it for granted en did the initial setup so I could play the game. It surprised me when the gameplay worked perfect, it works smooth with all the settings on high. But when I went back to the settings to change controls the whole menu lagged again and yet again every move I made only showed 10 sec later. When I closed the menu the game still worked fine, the problem is only in the settings menu.

Anyone got any clue why this is happening??
