I've been playing AC Valhalla for a while now, but today the game started crashing before it even opens. I've tried almost everything else, so my next move is un-install, re-install. But, while this truly and ridiculously over-complicated website has made a thousand things I'll never need readily apparent, the answers to the most basic questions are equally well hidden. So if someone could point out to me where to see the games I've already paid for are so cleverly concealed, I can get started. Thank you in advance. I really do appreciate it.

Hi there @ckappelmann2, I'm sorry to hear that you're having some issues with launching Valhalla and also experiencing difficulties with getting support. I am here to help, and I would like to look into this further to see if I can help expedite the process at all. Please take the time to work through the following steps:

  • Confirm Valhalla and Ubisoft Connect are installed on the same drive as your OS
  • Unplug non-essential peripherals (controllers, headphones, additional monitors, cameras, VR equipment, etc.)
  • End background processes via Task Manager (third-party overlays, screen-recording software, MSI Afterburner, Overwolf, Corsair/iCUE, Razer/Synapse, Steelseries, etc.)
  • Everything in this FAQ article for good measure


If this crash still occurs after those have been done, please attach your MSInfo and DxDiag files to your support case. Once received, I'll be able to review them and see if anything else stands out that we can try. Thank you!🐙
