Yesterday after updating to TU1.5.2, I and several others on Xbox began experiencing an 0x00000004 error indicating we couldn't connect to an Ubisoft online service. This occurred ALL day for me despite performing the troubleshooting steps Ubi support typically provides (power cycle, restart the game, no quick resume, restart network hardware, etc.). The same error persisted. Since I couldn't connect to do Reda contracts, I started on the new River Raid content. My INITIAL armory building purchase was 1200 foreign supplies. I did 2 River Raids (600 max foreign supplies) and purchased the building, only to find out it only unlocks 2 loadouts. Now while I'm not 100% sure on the cost these were the approximate costs for the additional upgrades:
3rd loadout cost - 1600 foreign supplies
4th loadout cost - 1800 foreign supplies
5th loadout cost - 2000 foreign supplies
I happened to be on one of the discords explaining how painful getting 6,600 foreign supplies was just to max the building not to mention the grind to get the new weapons, etc. in Vagn's shop. A bunch of people questioned what I was talking about. They said their initial building cost was only 100, followed by 400, 800, and 1200. Needless to say it's extremely upsetting that I had to do 11 full river raid runs just for the building when others only had to do 4-5.
So the question is why did this happen which is why I started my thread with the initial error. I'm wondering if the ability to not connect with Ubisoft servers forced the initial building to default to the final building cost and then it incremented the cost "x" amount after the initial purchase. Afterward I loaded a pre TU1.5.2 save and immediately went to the armory slot and it was only 100. So the only thing I can think is the 0x00000004 error online service error was the culprit for the bugged costs.
Did anyone else on Xbox encountering the 0x00000004 error (or possibly another Ubisoft online service error) encounter the same problem with the initial building cost and subsequent upgrade costs?
