[2021] Earned trophy on PS5 playthrough, appeared on PS4 trophy list. Help?

Hi support team or anyone that can help,

I had earned "The Saga Begins" on PS4 and was hoping it would transfer to PS5, but that never happened. So I hoped that by earning any trophy on the PS5 version (did not download the PS4 version) it would trigger the "transfer" and the trophy I earned on PS4 would appear on PS5.

I just earned a trophy while playing the PS5 version of Valhalla on my PS5 - "Everyday Life". When I went to check my progress of the game, it still said 0%. I opened the trophies and looked and looked and nada. I went on my PS5 notifications, and the notification that I earned the "Everyday Life" trophy was there, so I clicked it, and it opened up the game's trophies. Both trophies were there. I clicked exit, and it still showed 0%. I clicked the notification again, and the trophies were there.

I checked on my PS4, and "Everyday Life" appears there with the correct time and date I earned it but it doesn't have a picture as I have it set up.

How and why did my trophy go to the PS4 list of the game, when I earned it on the PS5 while playing the PS5 version? Even has haptic feedback.
What can I do to start earning my trophies on the PS5 list?

Hey there @kawezon - welcome to Discussions! I am sorry to hear that you unlocked the "Everyday Life" trophy, but it appeared on the PlayStation 4 trophy list rather than your PlayStation 5 one.

As a quick question, when viewing the game tile on your PlayStation 5 menu, do you see "PS4" or "PS5" under the game name, as to indicate the game version you're playing? Are you using a disc copy or a digital copy of the game as well please?

If you could provide images of your two trophy lists, as well as one showing the version of the game that you're playing, that would be very helpful.

Finally, with regard to the "Saga Begins" trophy that you originally unlocked - if you are using your same save game from your PlayStation 4 playthrough on your PlayStation 5 now, and are continuing the story on there, you should find that this will be unlocked for you later when the next arc has been completed in England. If this is not the case, please refer to this megathread and share your experience of this issue in there, as we're keeping an eye on instances of behaviour like this.
