Hey there @jodie-em, welcome to the forums. I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing problems completing the quest The Cost of Betrayal. You should be able to damage Ciara without any problems.
To help me get a better understanding of the issue, could you please provide a short video showing this in action and displaying that you are on the latest version of the game? You could directly upload the clip to an online video-sharing platform like Twitter or YouTube. Alternatively, if you would prefer, you could transfer the video to a PC using a flash drive and then send it to us another way, such as through a file-sharing site. Your current game version can be located in the lower right-hand corner of the main menu. The current update should state 1.5.0.1
If she keeps healing herself but you are able to do damage, I would recommend that when she is in her healing stage, you try shooting arrows at her. That should help reduce her health.
Regarding the other issue you encountered with the in the Flame and Forge, can you please also elaborate on this and let me know what occurs during this bug? The more information you can provide here, the better I will be able to assist you.
