Hi everyone :

Awesome game, it plays nice with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti at 1920x1080, but when I change from Trelawney to the New World the sound stutters several seconds after I get in the New World. That's the only issue I consider a niusance besides sometimes it crashes related a DirectX 12 issue , but the the experience is fine.

My specs : Lenovo X1 Extreme 3rd. Gen

Processor :    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz  2.59 GHz
RAM :   32 GB
GPU : NVIDIA GTX 1650Ti (4GB Memory)
Sound Card : Realtek In-built motherboard

Heya @Asterix201252 , thanks for coming back to us about this! I understand the troubleshooting we've recommended doesn't help, and you still hear this unusual knocking noise.

To try to narrow this down though, so that we can more easily reproduce the issue on our end, can you perform one further troubleshooting step for me?

Please try playing the game with another audio output. The easiest way to do this is to use a USB or bluetooth headset or headphones (as opposed to a 3.5mm headset or headphones that goes through your existing sound output). Don't worry if this isn't something you are able to test - I know it is dependant on having access to another audio output.

Either way, can you also tell me what sound drivers you are on? The easiest way to check this is to right-click your volume icon in the system tray where the clock is, choose 'sounds,' then right-click your sound output and choose 'properties,' then 'properties' next to the controller information, then the 'driver' tab. What manufacturer and driver version number is listed there?

Please let me know if I can clarify these steps further, and thanks again for your report of this issue - I really appreciate it!

Alright, nice one @Asterix201252 - thanks for this! Indeed, switching to a new setup accomplishes the same as trying another output. Fingers crossed the issue doesn't reoccur, but please do let me know if it does, and I'll update my report.

Oh dear, @Asterix201252 - thanks very much for coming back to this thread to let me know. I've gone ahead and reported the issue now, basically sending across everything you've said about it, so hopefully our team will be able to track down what's causing this odd sound effect. Thanks!
