Hey there.
My Anno 1800 keeps crashing to desktop when i run either dx11 or dx12 benchmark. I have'nt bothered to try how the game itself works since even benchmarks malfunction.

"NOTICE] rdgc::CGameClient::Run: Developer build - for internal use only! [Build: 2021-12-13 11:49:41] Anno7 UPlayGoldmaster Win64 Release-Static v13.0.1064331.32136 eoy21"
"ERROR] rdsdk::CLogger::TraceLastError: Failed to open file maindata/de_de0.rda failed with error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."
etc...

Anyone else having these issues? Is there any fix? I've already triple checked all of my drivers. And for lols i completely reinstalled my computer with fresh windows and problem still persists.
I stress tested my build enough to determine that this can't be hardware problem.

I examined some of those logs and noticed that there's lots of error about missing data and stuff. For laughs i installed every language pack for the game to see if that works.
Apparently it "worked" somehow. I ran benchmarks again with dx11 ja dx12. It still crashed on desktop, though this time there is no way to do error report. I examined new error messages from log and they've changed. The lines indicating .de .fr stuff has gone. But there's lots of "missing object" and stuff.

So i make a bold statement and suggest that for some reason benchmarks think that you have to have all the dlc:s and stuff installed to even run, even those dlc:s you haven't bought!

this has not been issue before the latest "dlc" and "patch".

And again edit!

Tested some more. I bought remaining DLC:s and ran benchmarks again. Sad to say the problem still persist and by purchasing those packs i only received some decorative fluff for my cities.

I've done all i could now. It's up to ubisoft now to do something.

@asbesthi

Hey there.

I'm sorry to hear about these issues with crashing on both Dx11 and 12.

First of all whilst it sounds like you have already done quite a bit of troubleshooting already please attempt every step suggested here.

If after doing so you're still experiencing issues we'd like to take a look over your system files to see if they shed some light on what might be causing this to occur. Please reply to us to let us know all steps are attempted and we can create a support case for you to submit those files to us or alternatively feel free to open a support case/live chat with us to submit those and clarify with whoever you speak to that you have already attempted basic troubleshooting. You can reach us either through the support website by opening a live chat session or alternatively through our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter and they will be able to create a support case for you.

Thanks.

@greaza Hi there!

Thanks for posting here with your experience of the benchmarking tool. Sorry to hear you've also seen the tool crash.

So that we're able to rule out some possible causes, would you be able to let us know if performing the troubleshooting steps listed here, has any impact for you?

Glad to hear that this is yet to affect your actual gameplay, but please be sure to reach back out to us if you experience any crashes in-game.

The crash issue should be solved since Tuesday with GU 13.2.

But please let us know if you still encounter issues.
