I have a 1080p monitor and use a custom 4k resolution (not DSR) for Super Sample Anti Aliasing purposes in various games. In Anno 1800 the game will extend beyond the edges of my display when trying this resolution in the Boderless Fullscreen mode. The game is correctly scaled to the display in Fullscreen Exclusive mode.

Some other games like Slay the Spire and Monster Hunter World correctly handle my method of Super Sampling in Borderless Fullscreen mode.

@Nicholas_Steel Hi !

I've take note of your report about an Issue when using borderless fullscreen mode and super sampling in Anno 1800.

For the purpose of our investigation, in order to isolate the Issue, I invite you to provide us with the following information :

👉 What method do you use to achieve custom 4K resolution ?

👉 Are there any mods running with the save currently used ?

👉 What are your PC specs ?

👉 Does the problem still happen after checking the steps of our PC troubleshooting guide, including verifying if the GPU has the latest driver updates available ?

If you'd like to share additional details, or have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out !

Could you provide any video clips or screenshots showing the comparison of what is happening in Borderless Fullscreen mode and Fullscreen Exclusive mode please?

Hey @Nicholas_Steel

Thank you for the screenshots you provided. Would you be able to do some test, so we can check how the game behaves?

We'd need you to test the following:

  • If you use DirectX 12, does the issue persists?
  • If you swap the monitor position in Windows settings, and set your second monitor to be on the left hand side of your main monitor, does the problem disappear?

To set the position of your second monitor, you could try these steps:

  1. Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings". At the top of the page, your available monitors appear as numbered boxes. Each box represents a monitor.
  2. To change monitor position, click, drag, and place the numbered boxes to your preferred position. If you are unsure which monitor is "1" or "2," click the "Identify" link. The assigned monitor number will appear on each monitor.
  3. When finished, click the "Keep Changes" button.

I would also like to ask you if your main monitor and your second monitor are set to have the same refresh rate or it is different.

Should you need more info, please let us know.

Thank you very much.

@Nicholas_Steel Thanks for the additional clarification. Can you create a support ticket and attach your system files so we can add this to our report of the issue?

@Nicholas_Steel Thanks so much! I took a look at your files and noticed your GPU driver is out of date. Do you know if you've updated it since creating those system files? If not, please do so and check if the issue persists.
