Just to get back to you on this topic: Our teams asked for savegames of anyone affected. So if you could share an affected savegame with me (e.g. via direct message here), that would be great

No words on the desync error, pathetic

There is no "the desync error". Desync means that the game state is not in sync on all participating PCs, and can have dozens of potential reasons ranging from bugs, to a PC being too weak or issues with your ISP.

Appreciate the "pathetic" though, always a nice touch :)

Does the price balancing also affect the the AI traders' prices for selling goods to them?

Yes, it affects the "base price" of the goods, with the prices from different traders potentially slightly varying from that.

Game Update 8.1 will be released June 17 at 2pm CEST/ 8am EST/ 5am PST. The download will be roughly 900MB.

There's no plans for other platforms beyond Windows PC, sorry.

What are the names of the three tracks that will not be included?

They should be:

“Cathedral.wav”
“Highlands.wav”
“Peaceful.wav”

The numbers so far followed the "cross total must be 0" principle - that's how you end up with the numbers for Anno 2070 and Anno 2205.

However, if we feel like an Anno 12345 (BC!) would be cool, then we'd do that. In the end it's just a number, even if one with tradition.

So far, though, we have no news on any potential future Anno projects.
There are quite a few hopes and theories as to future scenarios over on reddit but also the forums, ranging from Stone Age to Ancient times back to a late-Medieval scenario.
Be assured, as soon as we have news, you certainly won't miss them

If only someone had spent the time to put together 1500 words of blog to talk about all that!

When playing the original, I remember that road placement was quite a hustle as buildings had specific spots for road connections. Has this been simplified for the HE?

No, we did not want to change any gameplay elements to preserve the games as originally envisioned by the devs at the time.

Hey Anno Community,

Welcome to the third part of our series of DevBlogs covering the four classic Anno games included in the upcoming Anno History Collection.
