[2022] Cosmetics being wiped from my account.

This sounds like your account may have been re-linked to a different EA Account when you signed back in manually.

 

That would cause your cosmetics to be lost, as those are tied to the EA Account where they were originally unlocked.

This actually sounds like you're running into a separate issue. Having your currencies flashing and being unable to select other legends is a slightly different situation that's currently being investigated.
