The idea for tSOTF was to make it more accessible for very casual ARK players and non-ARK players.

Appeal to a broader audience. The first SOTF was awesome but niche

Removing complex systems & creating something ppl get the hang of quickly is what we hope will facilitate that.

So tSOTF. As someone who played a lot of the original SOTF, it took some getting used to for me personally.

It's quite different.

I think it can be easy to take base-ARK-game knowledge for granted ie: crafting, engram unlocks, taming, building etc
