Our goal has always been to create the best possible game for all of you – devoted Star Wars fans and game players alike. We’ve also had an ongoing commitment to constantly listen, tune and evolve the experience as it grows. You’ve seen this with both the major adjustments, and polish, we have made over the past several weeks.

But as we approach the worldwide launch, it's clear that many of you feel there are still challenges in the design. We’ve heard the concerns about potentially giving players unfair advantages. And we’ve heard that this is overshadowing an otherwise great game. This was never our intention. Sorry we didn’t get this right.

If you want to start playing today, join Origin Access or EA Access and take an early leap into the Star Wars galaxy with the Star Wars Battlefront II Play First Trial*. We went into Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II with a goal to make the deepest, biggest Star Wars™ game you've ever played. That meant transporting you to all three eras and handing you a huge assortment of heroes, classes, and vehicles – as well as bringing tons of free post-launch content to all Star Wars Battlefront II players. 

The Beta gave us a welcome chance to test all of our systems in action and tune things up for better balance. The Beta was just a small piece of what we're making. Yes, there’s more content (new locations, heroes, modes, and the all-new single-player campaign), but we heard your feedback loud and clear after the first game. There is more player choice in multiplayer through a deeper progression system and an evolving, event-driven live service that keeps the community together by moving away from Season Pass and having all new gameplay content free for all Star Wars Battlefront II players.

The wait is almost over. In only a few days, you'll be blasting battle droids, shooting down TIE fighters, and overcoming legions of First Order stormtroopers in the Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II Beta on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. 

Players who pre-ordered before October can start playing on October 4, while the Beta opens for everyone else on October 6. The Beta closes October 9.

From the dense forests of Kashyyyk to cold halls of the Death Star II and the ominous Starkiller Base, all three cinematic eras of the Star Wars™ saga are coming to Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II's multiplayer. At launch, you'll be able to wage war across eleven spectacular battlegrounds in the multi-stage Galactic Assault mode, where each map has its own unique objectives to complete. Two teams of twenty players will take part in a series of unique combat narratives unfolding across Star Wars' extraordinary locations as the sights and sounds of battle unfold around them.

This time around you're in absolute control over your speed, pitch, roll, and weapons as you pilot an assortment of lovingly-recreated Star Wars™ fighters. It's an entirely different experience than what you've played in the original Star Wars Battlefront's starfighter duels, whether you're rolling away from blaster fire in Darth Maul's Scimitar fighter or blasting an enemy ARC-170 out of the sky.
