Since the launch of Ewok Hunt in April, featuring the deceptively small and furry warriors, the mode has become a hit with fans of Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II. We’ve enjoyed the stories you’ve told – whether it’s been about soaring through the air and landing spear-down on an unsuspecting intruder as an Ewok, or barely making it to evac as a stormtrooper.

In Ewok Hunt*, Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II’s exciting new mode, spears and blasters battle for dominance as a squad of stormtroopers are ambushed by a tribe of Ewoks descending from the trees to channel their hidden fury. Available only for a limited time, Ewok Hunt lets you stalk your Imperial enemy under the cover of night, or desperately fight to hold off the pint-sized throngs until you can escape.

Since release, we've been hard at work making changes based on your feedback to create a better game for all our players. Today, we're happy to announce that the Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II Progression update, which includes a complete re-design of the in-game progression system, will begin rolling out on March 21st. There are also some additional changes coming to the cosmetics in the game, but we'll get to that in a bit... 

 

With this update, progression is now linear. Star Cards, or any other item impacting gameplay, will only be earned through gameplay and will not be available for purchase. Instead, you’ll earn experience points for the classes, hero characters, and ships that you choose to play in multiplayer. If you earn enough experience points to gain a level for that unit, you'll receive one Skill Point that can be used to unlock or upgrade the eligible ...

It's been an eventful few months for Star Wars™ fans, hasn't it? Star Wars™ : The Last Jedi™ swept into theaters, and millions of players lived out their Star Wars fantasies in Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II. With the release of The Last Jedi Season, the Resistance's brave freedom fighters and the First Order's imposing stormtroopers engaged in desperate showdowns on Crait over 156 million times, while X-wings and TIE fighters chased each other through the skies above D’Qar.

Together, you completed over 10 million quests for your factions. 58% of you chose to join Captain Phasma and the First Order, while 42% fought alongside Finn and the Resistance.

And to quote Luke Skywalker on the salt-covered plains of Crait, “the war is just beginning.” The most recent update added Iden's TIE/LN fighter as a hero starfighter and incorporated the Crait map into Blast Mode. The next few months are packed with massive additions...

In the chaos following the Emperor's death, Commander Iden Versio led the elite Inferno Squad to see that the rebellion was met with retribution. In the end, the inferno of the Imperial order was extinguished, giving way not to anarchy... but to peace. Peace that ended with the rise of the First Order.

Your journey into Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II began last month, but the true trials lie ahead. With The Last Jedi Season hitting the game, you’ll be asked to make a choice: will you reclaim the Imperial legacy with The First Order, or side with the Resistance as they strive to keep the galaxy free from oppression?

This question’s not a trivial matter, either. It will be presented to you in-game the next time you play, allowing you to side with the faction of your choice, a decision which will follow you for the remainder of Season One. Make your way to the Career tab and you’ll notice new Challenges that are tied to your faction.
