Rejects,

First I wanted to introduce myself for those of you who don’t know me yet, Hi! I am Catfish and I will be the Community Manager for Darktide going forward. In this Update we will address some of the community’s questions following on from our recent open letter and give you the patch notes from this week’s bu...

Of course, here we are trying to set the expectations of the community while explaining what our priorities are going forward.
We are working on being able to provide more details as soon as we can once we have the game in better shape!

Comment

Yes, we are working on releasing some bugfixes this week that tackle various crashes and are working on being more consistent with rolling these out in the future

Hi,
AFAIK we only have hotfixes planned for this week but I will try and keep you all as updated as possible on that front!

Our internal roadmap is undergoing a lot of changes right now as we make sure the game is in a good spot before we start adding new elements to it. There might be an external roadmap going forward, but its not something we can commit to at this stage.

To Our Players,

We take enormous pride in our ability at Fatshark to deliver a game that millions can enjoy. This was what we set out to do with Warhammer 40,000: Darktide – to create a highly engaging and stable game with a level of depth that keeps you playing for weeks, not hours.

We fell short of meeting those expectations.

Over the next few months, our sole focus is to address the feedback that many of...

No, of course no bans for pinging me in this case. I was hoping to make my debut in the forums last week with some news, but i’ll be sure to share updates/news here when they are ready to publish which will hopefully be soon!

As noted elsewhere we’ll have word out to you soon. In the mean time regular moderation activities will continue.

You were suspended for reporting a moderation comment as spam or off topic, nothing more nor less. You can see throughout the forums we do not take action against critics or negative commentary though. That said, creating burner accounts to bypass account sanctions is a gross violation of the forum guidelines.

DMd you earlier ...

Yes we are aiming for this week, and hopefully earlier rather than later in the week but I can’t confirm a day right now unfortunately. But as soon as ready i’ll make sure to publish it on our official platforms!

This is a known issue! Thank you for the additional information.

Could you also share a crash report with us, please?

Comment

It looks like you’re experiencing mostly GPU-related crashes but there are some vague Access Violation crashes in there, which I’ve raised with our developers. I apologise I’m not able to help more with this.

We’ll check it out. Would you be able to also upload your darktide_launcher.log, please?

Do you have a crash report or console logs you could share with us, please>

Comment

Thanks for letting us know. Our developers are exploring every possible avenue and have combed through a lot of data but I don’t believe we’ve identified any correlation with CPU bottlenecks based on the statistics. I will certainly share this with them however!

Cut out a bunch of derailing/off topic stuff, thread remains open.

We have an announcements tab here as a subtopic. We normally post the same larger comms there as Steam and Reddit (community updates, patches, etc.). We normally use Discord and reddit for smaller comms, but we can for sure consider popping our heads in more here as we work on our processes to get more information to you all when we can (there’s a Psyker joke in there, somewhere).

Reddit is also community controlled, so outside our own posts, we don’t have control on what gets flaired as an announcement there.
