Our level design and art teams are recreating various locations around the Alberta Rockies. β°οΈ
The Seebe Skatepark is an iconic building off Highway 1. πΉ
Here's a look at both a source photo and an early recreation of the graffiti-covered structure.

Enjoy an early look at a cement plant near Exshaw.
Featuring cramped staircases, long corridors, and floors full of heavy machinery, industrial areas such as this will act as dynamic battlegrounds for encounters with hordes of infected and fellow survivors.

Sourcing clean and potable water is essential for surviving the infected apocalypse. π§
Scrounging for water is risky, so having ways to collect your own water is key.
Here's a sneak peak at a rain collection barrel our art team put together. π§οΈ

It wouldn't be Alberta without a few farms. π§βπΎ
In the event of an infected apocalypse, what crops are you hoarding to survive? π₯©π«π½

@Regicidalnut
Some members of our team recently touched up the Quarry in Seebe.
Its rock piles and sheer drops make it an ideal place for avoiding infected when things get rocky.

@NoBudgetKing @DcHusty @TacoMilitary Let's get the facts right. We're currently a team of 34 employees working on Dead Matter. It is true that a few employees left a while ago to start their own venture and we wish them the best :) But we definitely did not stop development on DM, nor did we lose half the company.
@Doric__San @Jokka690 Almost every game you have ever played has had testers sign an NDA. Also, if you're dissatisfied with progress, we will happily give you a refund. π
@HoundCnft The people who add items/assets in a development studio are different than the people who work on gameplay mechanics. The former does not take away from the latter. π
@SmokinBananaa As we've said many times, the person who posts on Twitter and the people who design new assets are different then the people who are fixing bugs and working on optimization. The former two do not get in the way of the latter. π
@GHOS7S7ALKER It's not about the bluntness of a knife, it's about how you use it.
@eldesnickado Because that's what heroes do.
@HeckinGracken Dine upon thy enemies!
@rxlyaT This is knife ππ€
#DeadMatter is full of powerful ballistic weaponry that can tear infected enemies apart.
It also has a butter knife. π§
Perfect for both spreading margarine on a bagel and delivering the killing blow. π§
@ChuckleBob Nik is still involved. He and Derek are working together. π
Hello, survivors.
There's a new blog post on the site to put a stamp on June and take us into the long weekend here in Canada.
It's a quick one, but features info on our growing team, our summer plans, and a word from our Head of Studio.
Read:
A lot of work went into Exshaw for the 0.8 Closed Alpha update.
We revitalized some of the existing infrastructure including houses, streets, foliage, terrain, static vehicles, and more.
Essentially, everything in Exshaw has been retouched and polished.
Who's excited that summer's here? π
Gotta let those rays shine down. π

@Jotaszn5 There are currently only plans to release Dead Matter on PC and weβre focused on making sure it is the best it can be. We hope to bring Dead Matter to other platforms and consoles in the future, but we canβt commit to anything at this time.
