There's no cross progression between Steam and Microsoft Store, if that's what you mean. Cross progression is only available between Steam, Stadia and shortly Switch. There is no guarantee that cross progression will come to any other platform.

We have no guarantee that there will be cross progression other than with the platforms that we've already announced, which is Steam, Stadia & Switch.

That's nothing to do with EAC that's a game crash, without seeing the full report it's difficult to ascertain what crashed...but often those particular errors are related to Microsoft C++ Visuals, you might need to reinstall those files on your PC, they can become corrupted. If you were working with one survivor and killed the rest, then yes this is reportable and could lead to a ban. It's not the "farming" itself that's an issue but the teaming up with a particular survivor and the two of you farming the rest of the team.
