Yes, initially it was in the primary prototype pool.
Long story short: We're making these changes because of truckloads of complaints about text being unreadably small on certain setups. This will be a running task - we will likely keep tweaking stuff up and down for a while. We are looking into ways of giving you the functionality you're asking for, but it's no trivial task - it requires us to go through hundreds of UI elements manually to set it up.
We hear your pleas, Miners. Right now there is a technical limitation holding us back from just doing it - tagging it as a Beard would mean we cannot set it to autohide moustaches and sideburns, since only Headwear assets have the functionality at present. No promises, but we're looking into options.

Anyone think this looks to perform... really really poorly?
There must be some insane overclocks that drastically change how it performs. The multi target DPS looks INSANELY low for a game like this.
All that said, the concept of a cross bow is really fun.
Edit: Electricity arcs that make a web between embedded arrows would be cool. Similar to the Pylon in Returnal.
We’ll probably do a live demo at some point, but this is just a teaser. We had the same issue with the LOK-1, where people tried to measure out performance from a video - but it is just that; a reveal of the type, not a kitted out advertisement of how it performs.
