This week at Bungie, something funny happened on the way to Arc Week.

On Tuesday, the celebration of Arc energy began. A sandbox update refreshed Arc subclasses that launched with Destiny 2. Vendors in the Tower invited you to take the changes for a spin through various bounties. The Lost Cryptarch quest has returned for Guardians looking for a direct path to the Thunderlord, which will be available through April 23. If you solved the mystery of the Lost Cryptarch during Festival of the Lost, you too can visit Old Russia again—and be sure to check around the frozen wastes outside the Wall. You may find a few scannables hidden among the rubble.

Yes, any activity other than Private Matches.

Hey all,

A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components! Please note- this is all still in development, and could change.

  • Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer.
  • There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components
  • There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty.
  • Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, not Glory.

The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

I spoke with the team that tested this and there should be no impact from changing your PSN ID on your Destiny progress.

If you do come across any edge cases, please let us know. Thanks!

It’s not that I don’t appreciate the update, but with all the zany stuff going on I think some word on those things would do better than “here’s more Tess engrams”

We are currently working on fixes. Didn't want to hold info from the community while we work on them.

I hope that Arbalest will be like Thunderlord where it can drop from Engrams after the event. We don't know the triumphs, so tying an Exotic to something that no everyone will be able to do would be a little unfair, especially if that event only comes around once a year.

You are correct!

Spring is in the air, Guardians! It’s time to kick up your heels, celebrate, and break a few rules! The people of the City love this time of year, and I wanted to share their joy with you, my good friends. Come to the Tower. Smell the flowers. And revel in all we have together.”—Eva Levante

The Revelry is a new event available to all Destiny 2 players that celebrates the joy of Spring. The Tower is overflowing with colorful arrangements, and Eva Levante has a new activity for you to enjoy with new rewards to claim. But that's just the beginning—the celebration spans across the solar system, offering ways for your character to feel more powerful in every activity Destiny 2 has to offer.

Wait, what?

(Just kidding)

I’m updating the patch notes now, including this and off-class gear inspection.
