how about just make that a permanent change?

the only acceptable excuse for these matches ever happening is "there is literally nobody else in the player pool, so we have to match a trio against solos"

(admittedly I sometimes enjoy these matches, and with loss protection they're either a free win or 5 mins wasted, but on principle they just shouldn't be a thing)

That is already the only way those matches occur. There have to be no other duo or trio teams to match against for a period of time before it will push a trio against solos.

And we increased that time restriction today, as mentioned in the patch notes.

We’ve got this logged and are working on getting a fix in as soon as we can.

I believe this should be fixed in today's patch.

Hey all,

Over the last few weeks, we've been watching (and engaging with) combat in the Crucible and taking some notes.

We've recently taken a pass on Bolt Charge due to higher damage than intended in PvP, and are just about to release (or already have depending on when you read this) some changes for Redrix's Estoc, Lightweight Pulse Rifles, On the Prowl, and Smoke effects. We have a few more weapons and abilities to tune, and we wanted to give an early heads up on where our heads are at.

  1. Warlock "Snap Skating" is an unintended movement technique that gives players some great advantages in map control and general movement during combat. While this can be enjoyable (and fun to master), this presents some rough balance issues within the PvP space - not just 3v3 modes, but 6v6 as well. Additionally, this is creating issues with readability of opponents mid combat; Guardian bodies can become warped/stretched when skating, making it very difficult to f...

That’s not how the drop chance works. It increases exponentially as your points go up, but 141 points does not equal a 14.1% chance, the curve is not linear so it’s much lower than that.

Team is aware of this - once we have more details, we'll let you know.

Yes, correct. It's Adaptive. Thanks for the catch. Updated the mention the TWID.

If you could change one thing about Gambit, what would it be?

Heavy ammo? Invader spawns? Bosses?

We've been collecting feedback over the years, and fully acknowledge the lack of big updates. While we don't have any major shakeups to talk about, the more feedback we get, the better.

Many thanks.

Counterpoint, you could put down the barricade and use div because you're a nice person and want to let your team mates try different things!

Over the last few weeks, Guardians have discovered an interesting little bug that came about with Heresy's launch. On the backend, we shifted to a new way of creating weapons and rewards to help streamline some of the development process. While moving into this new paradigm, class lockouts for the Exotic Glaives and a handful of Swords were mistakenly removed.

We've been seeing some great celebrations with the removal of these constraints. Our first reactions were focused more towards fixing the issue as we want to retain strong class-based fantasies within Destiny, and the removal of class locks muddies the water a bit. As an example, it's a bit weird to see a Warlock or a Hunter spawning a mini-bubble or seeing a Titan running like a ninja. After some discussions between team members, we've arrived at a new decision: we're going to let this ride. A fun example of a bug becoming a feature.

Here's a quick list of notes taken from the conversation:...

Could you send over some video links to show what you're describing?

Would be of great help to the team if you posted a thread over on our help forums as well - gets the report in front of our team faster for investigation.

As noted last weekend, we are planning an additional opportunity for Guardians to attempt Contest Mode for the Sundered Doctrine Dungeon.

Our current target is Saturday, February 22. Starting at reset (9:00 AM Pacific), Contest Mode will be re-enabled for 24 hours.

Players may earn the Contest Mode Triumph, emblem, and guaranteed drop of Finality's Auger during this period.

We have identified the underlying issue impacting Finality's Auger drop rates. We are looking to address this as soon as tomorrow but need to validate the fix and ensure a clean deployment.

Alongside this fix, we are also planning to increase drop chances for this exotic when completing Sundered Doctrine activities.

Stay tuned for updates.

After an investigation, we have discovered that Finality's Auger, the exotic found in the Sundered Doctrine dungeon, isn't currently dropping as expected.

We are actively investigating the root cause and discussing options to address this issue as soon as possible.

Many thanks to all who have reported the issue and aided in our initial investigations.

Unlinking has been a significant vector for abuse for years. We have tried to combat it, and its existence has restricted what we can do. We don't really want to have to turn it off and went through multiple iterations to try and find a different path, but unlinking is only really okay security wise when attached to "social" accounts like Twitch.

Due to issues affecting PlayStation players' ability to sign in to Destiny 2, we are planning an additional Sundered Doctrine Contest Mode weekend for all platforms.

Specific dates and times will be announced at a later date.

Note: The Sundered Doctrine Race has concluded. This will simply be an additional opportunity for those who had fireteams impacted by the outage to attempt to clear the Dungeon at Contest Difficulty.

Stay tuned for updates.
