The Diablo IV Server Slam is available for all users beginning May 12 12PM PDT and ends on May 14 12pm PDT. The below are known issues with the build that players should be aware of. These issues will be addressed for launch.

All Platform Known Issues

• Player progression can be blocked in the Lost Archives Dungeon if the player attempts to interact with the mechanical boxes prior to killing both Demonic Vanguard enemies. Players should make sure to kill the Demonic Vanguard enemies first in the dungeon prior to interacting with the boxes.

• Animus Carriers that die to dungeon traps do not drop animus which will result in certain dungeons being blocked from progression. Affected dungeons include Hallowed Osuary, Dead Man’s Dredge and Anicas Claim.

• Players that change Speech Locale in the initial prologue of the game must wait for the entire package to finish downloading before they can proceed.

• While using a controller, the So...

Happy Sunday all -

Overnight and this morning have been pretty clear minus a disruption that impacted a small subset of players that the team discovered. There are some additional backend server rolls that have been occurring to address this with minimal or no impact to players and connections. These will continue on through the early afternoon.

Hi everyone -

Final update this evening from the War Room. The team got the hotfix out across all regions. Queue times and servers are looking good across the board and for the Ashava events tonight and early tomorrow morning.

We will be monitoring throughout the night and provide any updates if needed tomorrow.

Thanks again for all the wonderful feedback and bug reporting throughout this beta.

Happy Saturday evening everyone -

The team earlier this afternoon was able to successfully stabilize some of the player drops we were seeing from this morning. This has allowed us to alleviate queue times for all players.

We have another backend hotfix that we will be aiming to deploy later this evening to help out with further server stabilization. The deployment of this hotfix may disrupt some connections but is needed for the betterment of the beta through Sunday.

We will provide further updates when available. Thanks again and please continue posting about bugs and feedback in the forums.

The intended goal is to improve performance, but there may be some intermittent disconnects for users while we perform these updates. We will have another update later today.

We have released another client patch for PC. This addresses a Fullscreen crash issue that users reported earlier today.

  • Addressed an issue with the PC client crashing when in Fullscreen mode. This mode will be disabled for the beta. Windowed and Windowed (Fullscreen) will be the only options on PC Beta.

If you want to use a resolution lower than the desktop resolution:

  • Use the resolution percentage slider in the video options to drop the render resolution if the native resolution is too demanding.

If you want your cursor to stay within your window:

  • Use the Lock Cursor option in the graphics settings.

Hello everyone -

Diablo IV Open Beta has begun and we want to thank everyone for jumping back into the world of Sanctuary. These beta tests are a crucial part of our development and help us make the game experience better for everyone as we head toward launch in June. Today, we have seen more players than ever log into the game. We are excited to see all the enthusiasm about the game and the two new available classes for testing (Druid & Necromancer) this weekend.

We want to provide an update on some of the major items the team is currently working on after the start of Open Beta earlier this morning.

  • We are looking at an issue where players disconnect from the game and are unable to rejoin after disconnecting. This is tied to a few other items that players are experiencing such as party errors and some network performance issues in-game.
  • There is an issue where Windows users may run into a crash upon alt-tabbing while in Fullscreen. We do have a ...

Thank you to those who participated in the Early Access Beta. Betas are incredibly useful for the development team. They allow us to test things at a scale that we cannot test on our own, like server capacity, class balance, usability, accessibility, etc. This information is invaluable, ensuring that your experience at launch is as smooth as it can be. It’s also critically important for the development team to hear how players feel about the overall experience of Diablo IV.

With your help, we learned a lot during our Early Access Beta weekend. We intend to learn a lot more this weekend during our Open Beta, and we want to talk to you all about what you can expect and how your participation directly impacts Diablo IV development.

  1. Queue Times: When we open the gates again this Friday to absolutely everyone, we are expecting a lot of people. There will be lengthy queue times, particularly on Friday when we first launch and during peak regional windows. This past wee...
