@frameDoubt Not sure how it works in your country, but here in the end you pay for the usage and wear and tear, so I think it's possible to be a fair landlord :)
@Kr0nn1cK Hello Nick, thanks for the feedback, very appreciated :) I don't think we have a blog for that yet, but I'll suggest it :)
@frameDoubt Hopefully a good one :)
@halkeye We intentionally didn't sort Tomatoes into there, as it's not about the scientific sorting. Suggestions can be posted here:
@snarkipelago No worries, we take all feedback seriously and it sounded very fine. I'm still on christmas vacation until January 6, hence I need a bit more time to answer.
@founder__ We have no current plans for a console release, if we consider it, it will be after leaving early access.
@Leaderkilla Time to get back to it! ;)
@NoakseyV1 Depends on your timezone, I'm in CET. :) Where are you?
@Leaderkilla Singleplayer shouldn't cause that very same issue, as legislation plays no role in singleplayer. With low collaboration settings, half the recipe costs and speeding up of plant growth (for that mail us / check discord, too long for Twitter) it should work very well.
You might want to avoid Coast Redwood though, as that's a 'near-zero rules' server where everything goes. (2/2)
@NoakseyV1 That's miserable behaviour by that government official. They have every tool available to get you back setup if they wanted. Official servers typically start each friday, so maybe try one of those next time, people are usually very helpful there. (1/2)
@snarkipelago Well, that's good feedback. Being honest, laws are such a key part of Eco I was under the impression people know of that key feature. I was wrong and am sorry for that! We'll make sure it's made more prominent.
@NoakseyV1 Did you try to talk to the government of the server? I've seen governments giving stuff back or setting you up (depending on your stuff is already being reused) on request a lot.
@Shane_Partlow As in any game of this kind it's up the admin to decide what's fine and what's not on their servers, that is true. Community servers with active discord typically keep you up to date as well so they're usually a good choice.
Maybe another addition: Especially the official servers are quite intensive and most players login every day and have good amounts of play time each day, hence being offline for more than 5 days sets you back a lot and damages the economy.
In the end we do not want to impose forced limits on this, as the voting majority typically has good reason for this. On the official servers we just use 5 days as a comprise between being able to be take a few days off and active players needs. (2/2)
@nightblade99 There is no general limit, if there is one then the limit is decided by the admins and no limit is intentional as different servers run for different times. (7 or 14 days for example) (1/2)
That is intended gameplay, hence checking regularily on the server is indeed key. For now I suggested a tutorial point that raises awareness for this. (2/2)
@NoakseyV1 That's what we did, but given Eco is meant to be extremely player driven it is very hard to 'game-design' this. Laws may be changed at any time and with enough majority immediately and even into a dictatorship - while you are offline. (1/2)
I get that's hard to know for new players so I'll suggest a point in the tutorial for this. (2/2)
