Greetings Commanders,

Post-Odyssey updates have reached double digits! In this round, we see a series of optimisation improvements and a large batch of fixes. At the time of this post (10:00 GMT/UTC), servers will go offline for approximately two hours while the update deploys.

Changes will come to both Odyssey and Horizons each listed in their own sections below. These will see some overlap in cases where certain changes are happening in both versions.

A very happy Monday to you all.
Back in with some 'pre flight checks' again for a fairly sudden and abrupt delivery of news today...It's 'Update Day' soon. By 'Soon', this time we mean...tomorrow.

Elite Dangerous: Odyssey Update 10, along with a selection of quality fixes for Horizons players on PC and Console, will be available to all at approximately 12:00 UTC tomorrow, January 25 2022

Approximate (see what I did there?) Deployment Schedule:

Greetings Commanders,

Pilots around the Milky Way recently coalesced for an outstanding contribution to phase 3 of the Colonia Bridge Community Goal. We’d like to thank all the contributors for their patience regarding the rewards.

The reason for the delay is that the uniquely double-engineered Frame Shift Drives currently have an issue preventing them from being modified with experimental effects.

So you can enjoy these modules in the meantime, they will be given out later this week with an in-game inbox message to notify you. They will not be modifiable during this time while we work on a fix to come in a future update.

We apologise for any inconvenience this brings and hope you enjoy the special engineering they still carry in the meantime.

Today at 15:30 UTC, we'll be releasing a small hotfix to Elite Dangerous: Odyssey in order to address some stability issues within the game.

There's no expected downtime associated with the hotfix but it's always wise to give the servers a few minutes to get back up to speed!

Following very many continued conversations throughout present threads here in the Forum after the deployment of the latest updates this week (thank you so much for your time), we're continuing to file through the more pressing, widespread reports of immediate issues that significantly impact gameplay and give you a place of further acknowledgement of them, as oppose to losing responses to pages of discussion, here there and everywhere.
That's not helpful to you.

Right now we are focused on the following issues raised in the last few days since update releases.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a list to overrule pre-existing issues raised which either didn't make it in to the latest updates or are legacy issues affecting gameplay.

Community Goals

Greetings Commanders.

Happy to share some progress with you this afternoon.

After extensive dev side discussion and planning over the course of the last few days following the release of Update 10 for Odyssey, the team are confident in the planned release of a hotfix to address some prominent gameplay issues that have arisen as a result of Update 10 for Elite Dangerous: Odyssey Commanders, with a view to deploy early next week (week commencing 31 January).

We are continuing to also discuss exisiting issues present for Console and Horizons only Commanders, with a view to share more on expectation around these as soon as possible.
The same goes for additional issue reports across all versions, including the known issues we've logged and acknowledged as part of previous updates.

We've been incredibly impressed with the amount you've contributed to the CG's that launched yesterday already, so much so that you had almost completed one of them by the time I logged in to work this morning! With that in mind, the team have discussed our options and have decided to add very high extension tiers to the CG's in order to give players a chance to engage with the content over the intended period.

We will of course still count your early efforts in terms of the overall success of the CG, we won't be taking that win away from you. It's been a fantastic combined effort from every Commander involved!

Greetings Commanders.

Thank you to many of you for your patience here in the Forum last night following a large scale issue currently present, whereby Xbox Commanders cannot access Horizons content (this includes shipyards, livery, the ability to land on planets, with errors occurring throughout).

I'd like to make this thread a 'catch all' for updates on our progress with investigations where further information will be posted as and when we have it for you.

The team are fully engaged in looking into the matter as I type.

Please, if possible refrain from using this thread to raise additional issues unrelated to the current entitlements investigation. It really, really helps me to keep strings of information neatly separated out.
