Hi Everyone,

I'm just trying to dig into this a little deeper and I was hoping that someone could go through in detail, what issues you are seeing with mining as I am seeing conflicting messages with some commanders saying they are seeing an issue, whilst others are saying it's fine.

I just want to make sure this is fully investigated and we can get to the bottom of it asap, so the more detail you can provide me, the better :-)

Hey CMDR,

From the in-game main menu, go to options, and then Graphics. Navigate to 3D and select HMD (Headphones). This should put the display in your headset.

The transfer tool grants you a Horizons license on the account you transfer to, so you won't need to buy a copy. You can then claim a partner key from Steam for this license to install through your library there.

The warning text you quoted is just saying that the partner key can only be used alongside the Frontier account from which it was generated, and won't work by itself : )

Once you've added Horizons to Steam with this key, you're fine to then buy Odyssey from Steam too.

The launcher will prompt for a key as a last resort when it's unable to detect any game access, which would suggest that it's either unable to see the link to Steam/Epic you have in place or to correctly utilise this to authenticate you.

If we have server issues or Steam/Epic has an outage, the launcher will sometimes lose the ability to query the third party platform for your product access, at which time you'll run into the issue you describe. This can also happen on first launch after linking your accounts.

If you don't see a 'Log in with Steam/Epic' button on the launcher when it loads, you may sometimes just need to fully restart your Steam client/Epic Games launcher to correct this.
