since patch 1.40 I've been experiencing crashes, I was able to avoid them by verifying the game files but it prevented them only for a few hours until they came back.

Thank you for letting us know about the issue. I'll make a note to pass along to the team regarding the persistent crashes.

Hello,

Your log file seems totally normal. Could you check if you have any kind of real time scanner from your antivirus? You should check also your antivirus or firewall Windows Defender includes because maybe they can be blocking the game.

Regards.

Hello,

Could you explain better the issue. Do you mean that your game crashes every moment you click over a soldier? Or maybe it when you drag a group of soldiers?

Originally posted by Gliss: My son and i play on 2 different computers and both of us are cashing a lot. Very frustration because we are sometimes 1 hour into the game and it crashes. Also the saved game gets an error when trying to reload the saved game.

Like is said before, could you please copy here the lines in your zxlog file? This file is in the path Documents/My Games/They are Billions.

Are you receiving a particular error message before these crashes? What mission(s) is this happening on? Is it consistently the same part(s)?
over 5 years ago - UbiRedbeard - Direct link
Hey,

Do you receive an error message at all?

Hey King, are you getting an error code at all? Or is it just straight crashing to desktop?

Sorry about this! We’re looking into these crash reports. Unfortunately, I don’t have any recommendations to make at this point. Some of the most frequent crashes do appear to be specific to AMD graphics cards, but that isn’t the only crash happening.

Hi @Natebird,

I’m sorry to hear about this! Could you please attach your system information and log file to a new post in this thread? You can upload them by using the button.

Wow that’s a lot of errors. Is this the first time playing since the most recent hotfix? Seems like something could have possibly went wrong with the patching process.

Seems to have happened right as you loaded in to a scene. Was the crash during a transition?

Hi everyone!

We’ve just released 0.7.8f which includes a fix for crashes on AMD graphics cards, and may help in other situations.

If you’re still having crashes after the update, please provide the information listed in this support article in a new thread. Details about your build and what you were doing at the time of the crash is also helpful, particularly if it happens multiple times. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that! As Llama mentioned, uploading the files mentioned in this support article will help us look into the issue.

If you haven’t already, I’d recommend trying to repair the game if you’re using Steam.

Are you playing with a Random New World maybe?

There is unfortunately a known issue where if you load up a game with a randomly generated new world it will cause crashes :/

This will be fixed in 1.32.2 - apologies for the inconvenience caused.

If you are not playing with RNW however I would be very grateful if you could make a bug report on our forum[forum.paradoxplaza.com]

Hello @darki_dark701 sorry to hear of your game crashing but thank you for letting me know you have tried verifying the game files already.

Could you tell me a little more about the type of crashes you are experiencing >

Did your computer restart itself?
Did the game crash and close itself down?
Did the game display a black, blue, or white screen?
Did the game completely freeze so you couldn't control anything and you had to use Task Manager to end the program?

Do you also receive any kind of warning message from the launcher, game, or Windows when the crash happens? If so, a screenshot will be very helpful to us, if you are able to capture one.

Thank you for reporting this. We really apologise for the inconvenience. We rebooted the game worlds to fix an issue with collecting Leagues Trophies (which required a coldfix) and we've noticed a number of errors with launching the client afterwards. The devs are working on this, we're in a call currently investigating and seeing what we can do to fix. I'll update you once I know more.

The team has identified one possible cause and is testing whether this theory is correct.

We will continue to update the game as necessary, and unfortunately, this will continue to result in mods becoming incompatible from time to time.
