Effective immediately, it is considered an exploit to extend the amount of time capsuleers have to complete abyssal deadspaces.

Abyssal deadspace has an intended 20 minute expiration timer where a players' ship and capsule will be destroyed at the end of it. Any methods to extend this timer to achieve safety or alleviate the danger of losing your ship or loot is considered an exploit.

Players who are found to be extending their abyssal timers will be subject to disciplinary actions as per the Terms of Service.

The community has been a hive of activity since the last edition of the Community Beat! We've had a few sizeable battles across the universe, but last Saturday seemed popular with many of you! Rixx Javix, alongside those of Stay Frosty and Lucifers Hammer, hosted their Frigate Free 4 All that we included in the last beat, and we saw several thousand ships destroyed in the conflict. Whilst battle was spread across the system, even the station undock was littered with the aftermath of the conflict!

Hail Vanguard, 

The Deathless has put out the call once more, doling out new contracts for warclone operatives to earn great rewards for their actions on the ground. The deployment is open to all Omega Founders until 12:00 UTC on 29 April. 

RISE TO THE CHALLENGE 

Vanguard have a tangible impact on New Eden, and of course, their actions do not go unrewarded. As in previous First Strike events, there are exciting challenges to face and impressive rewards on the line. Warclones will receive the Condor Arkombine Arisen SKIN for collecting 1,000 biomass as a part of a squad of two or more, and the Augoror Navy Issue Arkombine Arisen SKIN for completing 25 contracts.

The latest First Strike playtest kicks off at 12:00 UTC on 25 April and runs until 12:00 UTC on 29 April, opening the doors to EVE Vanguard for the curious and competitive around New Eden. Attention Vanguard, 

The latest warclone deployment was a success, seeing new types of contracts, new warclone suits, and a new mining prototype being put to good use on the ground. Warclone Founders have already proved instrumental in the development of EVE Vanguard, and this event saw some of the first content created based on player feedback, as well as significant strides toward adding way more sand to the sandbox. 

THE RESULTS ARE IN 

Since the first introduction of First Strike deployments, Vanguard Founders have made their feelings known and helped shape the planetside battlegrounds of New Eden. The most recent event saw significant improvements and additions based on community sentiment, chief being the ability to choose between contracts impacting corruption or suppression. Economic Capsuleers!

The Monthly Economic Report for March 2024 is now available!

This month we changed the valuation of asteroids to be closer to the actual market value and less affected by price fluctuations caused by low volume trades that highly affect the asteroid prices. We also removed items from the Consumer Price Index that we feel should not be in there, because these items are mostly traded between players and NPCs.

Asteroids are now valued at 70% refining value. The following graphs are affected by this change:

Something new is taking shape among the stars, in the highsec system of Auviken. The Upwell Consortium, through member corp Propel Dynamics, has just deployed a new research and prototyping facility in orbit of the planet Auviken VI. They’re offering capsuleers the chance to contribute by collecting items called “Drone Graviton Emitters” from Rogue Drones in empire space, as well as containers within highsec Rogue Drone combat anomalies, and bringing those items to Auviken VI. This gives capsuleers of any experience and skill level an opportunity to visit the system and contribute to the development of the facility.
