During the last community beat, we were amid the Alliance Tournament and saw some fantastic content being created surrounding that. With the tournament now over, Skyler Hawk, CEO of the winning alliance, The Tuskers Co. posted an After Action Report (AAR) about their journey through the tournament, including the buildup, the planning, the blow-by-blow of each match and even wraps up with some concluding thoughts on the tournament and internal stats from their run. The Monthly Economic Report for October 2024 is now available!

For October, we have made the following changes to the MER:

• The issue with certain items being excluded from the economic indices calculation has been identified and corrected.

• The Deathless Custodians faucet has been replaced by broker fees in the Top 8 faucets & sinks chart following the conclusion of the Zarzakh siege in late September.

The economic summary shows the Ship Index continuing to drop, with a ~4.5% drop over the last 12 months. Conversely, the Mineral Price Index has reached a new record of 287.

For the second Alliance Tournament in a row, The Tuskers Co. entered the arena in a best-of-five grand finale. Last time, The Tuskers Co. beat Fraternity. in the first two games of the finals, but Fraternity. came back in an epic flurry of matches to win three rounds in a row and were crowned champions of Alliance Tournament XIX.

For a moment, it looked like history was bound to repeat itself when The Tuskers Co. won their first two games, then, in games three and four, their opponents Truth. Honour. Light. closed the gap, so everything was on the line in the fifth and final match. The list of accumulated conquest bans was reset, but this time, in a tense final battle, The Tuskers Co. pulled it out of the hat and won the final round. Congratulations to them!

You valiantly drove back the Drifter forces and brought an end to the siege of Zarzakh, and have since then worked tirelessly to bring the Deathless the key to a mysterious shrouded structure. Many of you have reaped great rewards by trading Atavum for blueprints and ISK in Zarzakh, or by selling them at Society of Conscious Thought stations.

The Deathless has now made it clear that he will have uses for Atavum further down the line. The current collection efforts and rewards are temporary, but it seems that there will be further opportunities to gain riches from Atavum after that window closes. The artifacts will, therefore, still have value and stay relevant, so there are still ample reasons to hunt for them.

It’s been just over seven weeks since the tournament kicked off with the first rounds of feeder matches. The starting pool of 50 were whittled down to 28, which joined the top-four teams from last year in the regular 32-team, Double-Elimination bracket.

As you may have read in our recent announcement about the Revenant expansion coming in November, we will be adding a new damage-over-time (aka 'DOT') weapon to EVE Online. Implementing this new weapon system meant refactoring a significant amount of the code which handles damage application in the game.

Accordingly, we will be running a mass test on the Singularity test server on Wednesday 16 October from 17:00 to 19:00 UTC in order to test out this refactored code.

Planning for Fanfest 2025 is reaching warp speed, and extra events and activities for Fanfest week have been finalized. Returning Fanfest classics and brand-new adventures will take place around Reykjavik, Iceland, in the days surrounding the main event from 1-3 May.

Some events are free and open to all, while others require tickets, so don't miss out! Tickets are now available for all activities except for the following Friday events: Pub Crawl, Foodie Walk Tour, and Friday Fleet-Up Party. These will be released in a few weeks, and Fanfest ticket holders will be notified via email.

Tickets to EVE Fanfest 2025 are still available and now is the time to plan your trip to Iceland and secure your place. With many of these experiences selling out quickly in previous years, be sure to grab your tickets before they're gone.
