We are keeping this in mind!

Seems like the issue with sigs appearing as double is visual and should be resolved after relog. Can you guys try that and see if you are experiencing any more problems?

Comment

Affirmative. Looking into it.

The hacking sites are not visible to players RESOLVED

The second issue have also been fixed now on Tranquility. The last problem will most likely be resolved after tomorrow’s daily maintenance at 11:00 UTC.

Have fun out there!

The challenge to enter a combat site triggers only when entering the sites in Lowsec. The sites in Highsec, Nullsec and W-space won’t trigger the challenge RESOLVED

One down. The fix for the undiscoverable hacking sites is in testing right now and we hope to get it working later today.

Hey!

We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, September 28th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?

New Native Mac Client and related changes, especially looking for:

  • Mac + Windows client performance
  • Mac + Windows client stability - especially crash fixes
  • Server performance

How to connect to Singularity for this test:

  • Ensure that the launcher is patched to the latest version (important for Mac)
  • Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the bottom right corner of the launcher and log in as normal.
  • More detailed instructions are available ...

Thanks for the updates Dopamine!

Don’t know yet. We are investigating if a hotfix is possible to get some of the issues resolved today.

That’s right. They are currently not showing to the players. We are working on the fix!

Hey guys,

We have identified a few issues with the event today:

  • The hacking sites are not visible to players RESOLVED
  • The challenge to enter a combat site triggers only when entering the sites in Lowsec. The sites in Highsec, Nullsec and W-space won’t trigger the challenge RESOLVED
  • The Agency UI incorrectly states that the event is not available in Wormholes. This is only a UI issue and players can click on it to get to the event page.

We are actively working on resolving these issues and will keep you posted once we know when a fix can be deployed. Thanks a lot!

Good day,

As part of the Gateway Quadrant, the brand-new Researching the Rogues event is now live in EVE Online! Please use this thread for discussion about the event, new sites or EVE Online landing in the Epic store.

The i9 is a warm chip, so I’d expect the fans to spin up a bit  I’m glad to hear that the temperature is better than the Wine version. The Native Mac Client is much more optimised when it comes to resource use!
Ensuring v-sync is on is by far one of the best ways to keep heat / fan management under control. I strongly recommend leaving it on.

We did a pass of shortcuts since the last update, so I’m glad to see it got noticed so quickly  . The client should also match OS shortcuts for moving between words by using the alt/opt key. We have a few more minor changes to make, but most people won’t notice them

Thanks - I’ll double check the internal ticket tomorrow, but we did compare the Windows and Mac clients, and they looked more or less the same to us after the last changes. Will do a double check though

Yup! The Wine based client is limited by DirectX9 features, which means it didn’t include some of the awesome post-processing and shader features that you now see. It really is a big difference

If you get the chance, check out Jita (4-4 hanger naturally) or Abyssal space for some fantastic graphical differences.
