Definitely hearing everyone's complaints on this one, will look into it today.

The shop works on a weighting system so it's likely one of two (or both) of the following is happening:

- You've bought everything else in the shop and there's only nameplates left.
- Our weightings are a bit off.

Just to speak to some of the comments about us 'throwing things in to pad out the shop', Nicknames/Banners was a feature that was almost done for launch, but we ended up cutting. Alongside a few other things this was one of the features that we've had waiting to go live for a while!

also, love that the s2 trailer says "more levels on the way" trying to stay as vague as possible when it's just 2 new levels, I guess to try and keep more players from jumping ship

More levels are on the way - it could still change.

You're twisting my words by saying it was "ready for launch"... because it completely wasn't and I literally said it wasn't in the post that you replied to.

It had no artwork and hadn't been playtested as much as the other levels.

For what it's worth, lots of people are enjoying Wall Guys - not everyone is calling it a 'broken mess'

I'll address a few things as best I can!

Firstly, thanks a lot for the feedback!

1 - Themed Seasons and new maps. I'll address these together, as I think they're linked.

I think we definitely want to keep up the themed seasons, but I totally get your feedback and I can see that too. The thing is - It took 2 years of development to create the game - that's 24 months, and we had 25 levels. Season 2 was 2 months of development and 4 new levels. We do really want to increase this though - and we're in the process of hiring more people. Hiring people takes a lot of time - while we're all doing our normal jobs, we also have to make time to interview people, and then offer them jobs - and then wait for their notice period before they're able to join - which is usually a month or two. It's not something that's instant, but we're SUPER on it with making sure we hire the correct people. Once people have joined, there's a bit of time of them getting famil...

Can you comment on the hex-a-gone coloring change? Was it done that way to make it more difficult on purpose or stylization? I ask as a colorblind person who previously read the team was looking to add support for, this seems to be the opposite direction.

Combination of us tweaking some stuff a LONG time ago and a few last minute fixes not making the cut for the build. Looking into it today!

We currently DO weight the new levels higher! Keeping an eye on frequencies and might make them more frequent next week depending on how things pan out.

Right now we need to keep an eye on things like matchmaking times, player reception, etc. so we're doing it as a bit of a time limited experiment to see what happens. Totally possible for it to become permanent down the line!

Is there going to be a change coming where we won't have to track Kudos and XP separately? Just one currency? I always thought it weird that after a round you get a different amount of Kudos and XP, why not the same and just track that instead for season progress.

I think there are a couple more eaten jump bugs and stuff, but that's just off the top of my head.

I just got out of a meeting about prioritising exactly these things. There should be improvements (especially around latency here) in Season 02. Others (like the Fall Mountain grabbing bug) are our top priority right now when it comes to bug fixing.
I appreciate it can seem crazy that fixes for such big issues aren't in our Season 02 update but we have had to be really careful to what we commit to in order to get the release out safely and on time. We're working hard to get these fixed ASAP, but these things can take longer than we'd like. Thank you all for being awesome and sticking with us!

Hey all! We've been monitoring player feedback on this and season 02 is going to require a fair amount less kudos to reach those final ranks.
Ultimately pre-launch we were really worried about everyone blitzing through the fame path in a matter of days so we ended up making those last few ranks a lot harder. We think that for Season 02 we can be a bit more generous with those rewards!

This. Oh so much this. We have hundreds of costumes at this point and these things are so easy to miss! Once you do catch them even getting them in a backlog can be error prone- plus when you weigh it up against other things we're frantically working on little fixes tend to get forgotten about and then suddenly oh god it's been two months and we haven't fixed the pineapple in team games what sort of useless development team are we oh someone send help.
