Hi everyone!

We have an update to the Fortnite Island Creator Policy -- you can now use text in parts of your lobby backgrounds.

We took a look at this rule and realized it was too restrictive, so we took it out. Now, you can customize your lobby experience even more for players.

Before adding some text-ture to your lobby background, keep in mind that text must not interfere with the top navigation area or include promotion of Creator Codes. Creator Rules regarding Appropriate Language (1.10) and Promotional Materials (1.15.7) apply to lobby backgrounds as well.

The 33.30 release notes mentioned the Common and Uncommon Heavy Impact Sniper Rifle as new weapons for UEFN and Creative. This was an error, and these weapons were not added. There is currently no plan to add them, but if that changes, we'll let you know.

Check out the new Engagement Payout Estimator in the Monetization tab of your islands in the Creator Portal. These estimates give you an approximation of your potential payouts based on available data, providing greater transparency into what you can expect to receive.

You can now track your previous payouts broken down daily, alongside the monthly breakdown that was already available, allowing for more precise tracking of changes over time.

Note: Payout estimates are not guaranteed and are subject to change.

Coins and terms like “AFK” and “XP” are being used in island thumbnails, titles, and other metadata to mislead players into believing that they can earn or unlock an impossibly high amount of XP. Spoilers, they don’t.

Our rules (1.13) prohibit using misleading content like this in your metadata. You have until February 4 to remove any misleading content like this, including references to AFK, XP, Coin farm, Coin slide or images of Fortnite coins (or similar coins). We will be removing this content from our ecosystem and creators will receive escalating penalties – including impacts to monetization, island removal, and account suspension.
