Description The damage bonus gained from the Escalation Modifier does not buff the damage done by Hero Skills or Gadgets. This will not effect Traps.

We've begun to disable services in preparation for v15.50. Players currently in a session can continue to play until downtime starts at approx. 4 AM ET (09:00 UTC).

The previous comments here are correct! You need to be in a PL 34+ zone. Apologies on the confusion. We're going to be adding this to the quest description.
At this point, I'm almost more upset that it's been 36+ hours since the questline released and Epic still hasn't said a word about Val. Not even a simple "Yikes! I'll pass that on".
Is Val just going to remain perkless forever? Do they not even know this mistake happened? What the heck is going on?
u/Magyst, can we get a comment here? Anything to let us know this issue is on the radar? Some of my friends are scared to unlock Val because they don't know if she'll be fixed afterwards.

Val is unlocked from a questline so your friends definitely shouldn't be scared to unlock her.
