Fortnite: Battle Royale Dev Tracker

Hey folks,

Wanted to give a quick update on the Scallywag Cup this weekend and what to expect.

Placing in the top 3% in the Gauntlet Test Event by 3/16/19 will unlock this weekend event in-game. The Scallywag Cup will occur across two rounds - Round One (Semi-Finals) on Saturday and Round Two (Finals) on Sunday. Each round will be its own 3 hour session. Participants will also only be able to play a maximum of 10 matches during each session.

The Top 1500 teams in each region at the conclusion of the Semi-Finals will advance to the Finals. After the Finals have concluded, the top 25 eligible teams in each region will be awarded the following prizes:

Update: We’ve identified that voice chat on iOS was causing an increase in stability issues. We’re keeping voice chat disabled on iOS while we continue to work towards a solution.

Update 2: We’ve re-enabled voice chat for iOS, we'll continue to monitor stability.

Update 3: After enabling voice chat on iOS we’re seeing an increase in stability issues. Due to these issues we’ve decided to temporarily disable voice chat on iOS and Android devices while we continue to investigate. 

Something that was missing from that Patch Notes but has since been added is that in v8.10 we actually increased the projectile size of the Infantry Rifle.

This should make hitting shots easier.

Teamwork makes the dream work, but this isn't how Vending Machines should be working. Thank you for the video, we're looking into this issue.

Update: We've identified the cause of this issue and will be releasing a fix in the v8.11 update.

We're investigating issues with accepting party requests from friends.

Dropping in with some clarification - if you are on mobile with a controller you will be matched into controller lobbies. If you are on mobile using touch you will be paired with Switch players.

I can pass you along to people who should be able to help. Would need account names & associated email addresses as well as the exact error message(s) you are getting when you try to merge.

We have a fix planned for a future release.

This issue would've started once today's build released. So it's likely related. If you continue to have this issue after we release our fix then report it in-game, please. Thanks!

There will be a timer in the UI once the LTM become available.

At this time we believe that the increased ping values being displayed in the debug UI are primarily a visual only issue.

While we are continuing to investigate reports, we’re actively working on a fix for later this week.

Thanks for further details, we're looking into it.

We haven't been able to find anything on our end, it appears that some universities are just blocking our traffic. We'll continue to poke as we have the resources available, but no solid theories on our end as to why the game is being blocked.
