I have the same issue did the one color dash did the 1st mvp room did tiny town then went to do the bumper car color dash and collected the shoe left didn’t have the shoe collected and now no progress saved and it keep saying I’m in a non active island version and progress will only save locally

Yeah, that means the Switch account is 'headless' and attached to an Epic account that does not have an email attached or Epic display name attached.
If his account is on Switch have you tried logging in to the site by selecting to log in through Nintendo Switch? Try that and see what happens. It may be that the Switch got disconnected.

Heya! As u/RyyFNM said, you can switch this off by heading into settings, selecting Video, and then adjusting the 'Quality Presets' option. When you do this you will need to restart the game to see the change take effect.
