Hello Adventurers,

We wanted to let you know about some changes coming in the Shop in the next Update. As part of the 6.1 Update, the current Deathknight Armor bundle is being retired.

However if you don’t yet own the Deathknight Armor, fear not. We have new bundle with the Deathknight Armor coming at a different price point and new set of rewards to go along with it.

Can I purchase the new offer if I already own Deathknight Armor?
Yes, players can see and purchase the new bundle, however you will not receive a second copy of the Deathknight Armor.

Why is the bundle changing?
The current Deathknight Armor bundle has been in the game for almost 7 years now. Like the changes we’ve made to the weekly Kingdom and Legendary Bundles, we felt that it would be good to refresh this bundle and offer it under a lower price point.

Hey all,

Quick update, the Buy Level button will be reactivated alongside the next update, but I am unsure at this stage if that will occur before the Kingdom Pass event ends.

Just awaiting further information from the development team!

Thanks for reminding me about the compensation, and for the suggestion of reverting the scores - I should have included info on that in the original post. There will definitely be compensation of some form, but we’re still figuring out what is possible there at the moment. Once we have a definite answer on what we can do, we’ll share that info with you all.

Hello Adventurers,

We wanted to discuss some of the recent issues, keep you updated on what their status is, and give a little insight about what’s been going on for those who are interested.

As many of you may remember, we use the MongoDB database to run Gems of War. Like all technical solutions it has pros and cons, but overall has served the game well. After 7 years, we have many many millions of accounts in MongoDB, and while databases can handle this volume of accounts, it does mean there are some technical issues that we need to solve before they become a larger problem. Some of the tricky technical problems that we’ve faced in the last 2 months have stemmed from optimizations we’re making to MongoDB. Some of our veteran players will remember our MongoDB issues in the past (that lead to the creation of the Troop Mongo & his spell Random Crash at the time). We’ve got it under control, but it’s providing a bit of a bumpy road while we make sure the game is heal...

Hey, in future we will respond at least once a week for larger issues like this to let you know it’s not forgotten about but if people complain that we are replying with no substance or info or complain we’re replying instead of fixing the issue we will stop doing that and only post when we have new information and next time we won’t revert on that stance.

Hey Winzor,

We check the Bug Report section of the forum, our social media replies and our support tickets every day, it may take some time for us to respond but I’ve checked the bug report section of the forum just now and it looks like most of the threads which weren’t posted less than 24 hours ago all have a response, either in the thread title or in a comment in the thread.

I suspect you’re talking about the missing campaign stars or guild wars scoring issue threads?
If so I’ve just posted an update to the Campaign star issue and as stated previously we will be posting about the Guild Wars scoring issue before next week.

If it’s a different bug report you’re referring to, please link me to the thread and I’ll ensure one of the team look at it tomorrow (assuming it was an old report we missed), the newer reports will be responded to according to our normal schedule.

We are posting as we have new information or resolutions to issues, currently we put out 4-5 bug fixes today and some compensation, which we’ve just communicated on the forum and in our Known Issues articles on our Help Center.

When we have more news about other issues we will post it.

Hey folks,

We’ve just deployed a fix for this as well as a couple of other fixes (missing Campaign Stars and Kingdom Power on Factions).

Thank you very much for reporting this.

The team investigated and found this issue with the daily reset to be unrelated to the Guild Wars defence team bonus point issue, which we are still looking into and will have an official news post about before the end of the week.

Hi Adventurers,

Last week there was a problem with a missing Bronze Campaign Task.

We have just deployed some fixes to the game including adding +3 Campaign Stars to everyone’s accounts to correct this. The stars will be added next time you go through the daily login.

Sorry it took longer than we’d all hoped to do this, it wasn’t previously a simple task to add Stars to accounts so we also had to address this before we could send everyone the 3 Stars.

We are also working on the cause of the issue so this doesn’t happen in future.
