alright, you made me happy with one answer, thank you.

question 2 if you wouldn't mind answering another one: do you know anything about the "enemy AI improvements" they said that the AI is smarter than ever before, but i'm worried that it will just be division 2 AI where their "intelligence" is constant flanking and that's it. and how will this AI work in stealth? will i shoot a sniper shot at 300m, kill an enemy, his body is found, and now the whole camp knows exactly where i am? because that is probably one of the worst things about wildlands

Right now, all I can say is tune into E3/gamescom. I haven't played the game either, so I can only speculate based on the same gameplay reveal you guys all saw. Wouldn't want to comment on the AI without having played against it. :)

Wildlands had paintball weapon ballistics. The bullets were far too slow and the drop too excessive. Will this be addressed in the next game or will it be the same for "balance"?

Right now I don't have any additional info in terms of ballistics/bullet drop.

so, to be perfectly clear, if i have a sniper rifle, i can kill any enemy with an unarmored head, in one headshot? i could go to the hardest zone in the game at level 1, and headshot the enemies there if they have no helmet?

My guess is that it would be particularly true with sniper rifles. With other weapons, there's a possibility that range will affect the damage. Please keep in mind that I don't have any information on whether that's the case, I'm just speculating based on Wildlands - I pretty much got through Wildlands with silenced pistol headshots from close range.

If it does turn out to be a looter-shooter (which it seems it is) I don't know how it's going to compete with Borderlands 3. These games require a lot of investment if you want to get the best gear and they can get very repetitive (moreso than Wildlands).

Breakpoint is a military shooter. We've said in multiple places (one of the articles pinned up there, and the devs themselves on stream) that headshots to enemies not wearing helmets means a kill.

We haven't gone into too much detail with how gear acquisition will go, but I'm not sure whether you mean "looter shooter" in terms of the literal looting or in terms of spongier enemies.

Any reason why Ubisoft is delaying the Walker costume release? We know it's in the game files, and Ubisoft originally said it was coming "in the coming days."

The Walker costume is coming after May! We'll let you know more details ASAP.

This sometimes happens with store listings on non-Ubi platforms. It's a placeholder. We're still on for October 4th. :)

So, does this tiered loot system mean there are multiple versions of one weapon (like, a gray, green, blue, purple, and gold M4) or does this mean each weapon is a certain tier (like, maybe an M16 is a green weapon but an M4A1 is a blue weapon)? I don't want a system like the former, where we have a bunch of junk in our inventory because we have multiple copies of the same weapon, just at different tiers/rarities. I don't want that.

One thing we want to reinforce is that Breakpoint is going to be a military shooter, and the weapon tier system won't affect that. Tiers won't change damage.

I don't have a precise picture of what the system will actually be like in practice yet. I would stay tuned for E3, gamescom, etc. :)

Yeah, we do want to reinforce that it's a military shooter.

The enemies may be the toughest you have yet to face, but Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a military shooter game. Unless the human enemy is wearing a helmet, like the Heavy archetype, headshots will be one-shot kills if you’re able to land the hit.

I’m really disappointed with the tiered loot system like Division and Borderlands— this is going to make weapons as you progress through the story feel like they shoot nerf darts instead of bullets.

I’m not looking forward to having to grind to keep my gear in line with my level so I’m not shooting enemies 30 times and they’re surviving.

We've mentioned in several places that "headshots kill." I believe the devs said so on the livestream, and we also have this in an article we just posted.
