We don't talk about that mocap shoot anymore.

The voices are pitched down. The charr have lip and jowl flapping/smacking sounds added to the processing, to account for the charr facial structure (as compared to the human actors). There's also other sounds in the mix, like growls and harrumphs. Drew Cady, our previous Audio Director, created most if not all of the processes that we use.

Make sure you don’t already have the treat in your inventory. Should be called “tasty karka leg” if I recall correctly.

Did you get the name before PoF released or were you just lucky enough to snag it?

Created this character right after the beta weekend. I think a little before actual full release.

NPC Joko: "Who are you?"

PC Joko: "I am you, but better."

Basically. Conversations about NPC Joko get real awkward.

Also hi, it me.

I worked on this feature, and look at that, its a real meme now. I can die happy now.

As Tom mentioned, Aurene was voiced by Nika Futterman, and Kralkatorrik was Fred Tatasciore. :D

The PC Charr female has a new voice, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sY6fizs0e0A

Ahah. Lily had mentioned Missed Connections during a guild chat from last episode and I was wondering where it had gone.

That's one mistery solved.

This is sadly the last one with Lily Yu as my co-author. We'll see what the future holds for Snargle Goldclaw. (Who, I should note, is a legally distinct entity despite name inspiration.)

Yeah, she got mixed up about which one was coming next :)

I had to sit on this the entire time between when you said that and the episode came out, I hope you are happy

I love seeing iconic GW1 setpieces recreated.

I'd REALLY REALLY like to see some Underworld / Fissure of Woe recreated by your talented artists. I bet this would get a lot of press coverage.

All of ANet really got a kick out of receiving my cake and cookies. I'm really thankful for the opportunity to get to do the cake. I'd like to share my IG and Facebook so folks can see other stuff I've done, if allowed.

If anyone has questions about the process I'd be happy to share!

Thank you so much for letting us take a bite out of this lovely dragon! He was delicious! :D

Awesome! Do you work on the trailers?

Yup. I'm the point person for those (along with a ton of assistance from various others).

They said that all of the conflicting magic inside Kralk was causing him pain (hence his "Torment") but I have to wonder what this means for Aurene. She absorbed his magic and became an Elder, so doesn't that mean that that the conflicting magic will hurt her too? Unless she only absorbed some of it.

If she only absorbed some of it though then whatever is left must have been released which is exactly what we were trying to avoid. Was the released magic not enough to destabilise the world? Or did she really absorb all of it and is just more capable than Kralk at holding magic?

Interesting question.

Interesting idea...
